Fashion Indie is the Number One Blog for Millennials

Edited by

Fashion Indie is the Number One Blog for Millennials

That’s right indies. Fashion Indie is numero uno with the highly coveted Millennial buyers. 80% of our readers are young, fashion minded lovers who come to us for brutally honest reviews of fashion, fame and style.  Which is a great thing since WWD just listed Milllenials as some of the top shoppers in the US of A.

Numbering 64 million nationwide, savvy and hard-to-please consumers between the ages of 14 and 29 have buying power. They are eager to try what’s new and trendy, and though price-conscious, they covet status brands and are hooked on technology.

Females between the ages of 13 and 24 spent $33.7 billion on clothing in the 12 months through April, according to The NPD Group, a Port Washington, N.Y.-based market research firm. That compares with $16.9 billion purchased by 25- to 34-year-old women, including some older members of the Millennials, and $29.8 billion by Baby Boomers between the ages of 45 and 64.

So if you’re looking to reach out to folks with buying power in the 13 – 24 age range, you’ve come to the right spot.

Fashion Indie is Youth Fashion.

Now give us some goddamn ad money!!!

Fashion Fruit Returns!!! July 2nd

Fashion Fruit Returns!!! July 2nd

Back in the days of Fashion Indie’s infancy we hosted over the top networking events called Fashion Fruit. Fashion folks who loved our site and connected to Fashion Indie would come and drink it up with the whole staff as we merged at one of the only fashion networking parties designed for young fashion professionals.

Well Fashion Fruit is back with a vengeance. A new staff is rocking the Fashion Indie offices and our network of designers, models, stylist, photographers, editors, buyers and retailers has grown to over 5,000 in the New York area. We’re looking to fill this Fashion Fruit with 30 – 50 of the most influential fashion types so if you want to attend be sure to book early. Once we hit our RSVP goals we’ll be cutting the list off and will no longer accept reservations.

Hell, if all else fails it’s a great way to get your fashion line on FashionIndie.com since we will be featuring our favorite brands in attendance on the site the week following.

CLICK HERE TO RSVP and don’t miss the launch of Fashion Fruit.

WeIndie Member: Jill Sherman, TrendDeLaCreme.com

Edited by

WeIndie Member: Jill Sherman, TrendDeLaCreme.comFashion Indie’s Network continues to grow as more and more WeIndie members get on board. One of our favorite blogs Trend De La Creme, is now on board and we had the chance to interview the blogs watchful editor, Jill Sherman. She gave us her insight on the best city, the best edition of Vogue, and the one beauty item no fashionista should be without.

Who’s your favorite designer?

I flip flop around a lot. Right now I’m really loving Chilean designer Maria Cornejo.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever bought yourself?

A timeless pair of strappy black Shelli Segal heels. It was love at first sight. I probably only wear them once a year, but it’s only because I don’t want to wreck them.

What’s your favorite city?

Tokyo. It’s like being transported into the future. Crowded underground cities, sidewalks built above the streets, micro-mini cars. And everything is happy and clean. I don’t know how they do it.

What’s the biggest challenge for a blogger?

Keeping content interesting and original. It’s easy to get caught up in what everybody else is writing about and lose focus on what your readers are interested in.

Vogue or French Vogue?

Italian Vogue WeIndie Member: Jill Sherman, TrendDeLaCreme.com

What’s Your Number One Beauty Tip?

Baby powder. Don’t have time to wash your hair? Baby powder. Feel a little rank? Baby powder. Feet sticking to the inside of your shoes? Baby powder! It seriously has a million and one uses.

Edited by

Mark Your Calendars Indies.

Daniel Saynt will be on Lawrence of America on the Travel Channel on Tuesday, June 24th at 11:30 p.m.

Details on the episode are below.

Enjoysies.

Daniel Saynt on Lawrence of America June 24th

Lawrence goes to New York to explore the fashion industry. But not the fancy famous folks, he seeks the truth among fashion¿s fringe dwellers. He meets designers and has the chance to pose in a photo shoot. Lawrence explores the backstage at a real fashion show, and goes to the home of one of the models for a rare, exclusive look at their glamorous, exotic life. The New York fashion scene has never been probed like this before, but then very few global correspondents are willing to go through a fashion makeover — all in the name of truth.

Fashion Indie: Banned in China

Fashion Indie: Banned in China

I received a tip this morning from Shanghai that has me wishing for some retaliation.

Not Sharon Stone “earthquake karma” retaliation, more along the lines of “I hope the leaders of China all get the shits today.”

CHINA HAS BANNED FASHIONINDIE.

Apparently our site is too “American ” for the commie bastards.  Okay, maybe that’s not true, but dammit our Chinese fans (all three of them) can’t get their daily dose of FashionIndie.com.

The Cold War is still alive indies!!!  Pretty soon there will be an invasion so watch your backs and learn some Mandarin.

P.S. Love the Chinese. Hate the Government. Just thought I should say that before I get hate mail.
