Lindsay Lohan Could Calm Down a Tad

Edited by

Reports have been filing in from pretty much every corner of the internet of Lindsay Lohan basically fucking shit up during Fashion Week. Even our photog Richard Guaty had a run-in with her while minding his own biz during which she yelled at him to stop taking pictures of her — meanwhile, he wasn’t. But the latest incident involoves thrown glasses and a bloody dress. Lilo, we love you, but snort a chill pill.

Karlie Kloss Continues to Be the Best Thing That Ever Happened

Edited by

Remember that time when a 15-year-old girl from Chicago with an alliterative name built for model magic became the greatest supermodel to catwalk onto the scene since Gisele? Well, now you do because Karlie Kloss is having a momentGabrielle Revere captured a devastatingly beautiful portrait of Karlie  — I excitedly screamed aloud about it for at least a full minute – for a special Fashion Week issue of Life

#NYFW: Badgley Mischka Spring 2012

Edited by

I rolled out of the figurative gutter of the literal FashionIndie office this morning and dragged my hungover self to Badgley Mischka. Though I didn’t have my coffee/Jack Daniels, the collection was definitely the best part of waking up. There were red carpet gowns galore that we’ll no doubt be seeing in the coming months. But there were a few missteps — I’m the last girl on earth to decry a  hotpant, but when said hotpant interrupts an otherwise stunning procession of dresses, I can’t fully support it. Birthday! I Would Like You to Dance, Stella McCartney

Edited by

Happy Birthday Stella McCartney! I never would have guessed she turned 40 today – positively gorjuss. And what a thrilling year she’s had: a store opening within Saks Fifth Ave, a contract to design the British Olympic uniforms, a stunning well-received Fall 2011 collection, and the opportunity to costume the MET ballet, Ocean’s Kingdom. Not only did the latter allow her to employ all she has learned at ADIDAS and with designing for the Olympics in a far more artful manner, but it gave her a chance to work professionally with the ballet’s composer, her father, Sir Paul McCartney.

Nicki Minaj’s Harajuku Barbie Returns at NYFW

Edited by

Nicki Minaj perched in the front row at the Prabal Gurung show and showed up in this clothing cocktail.  From her Shojono Tomo printed leggings to that big ass pink bow atop her head, fashion girls and gays alike were singing her praises for bringing her Harajuku Barbie days back.  Now it is clear that you can get away with just about any outfit when Fashion Week rolls into town, but it definitely takes some guts to pull it off.  Would you wear something like this to an NYFW event?

Male Model Hangover: Backstage at Parke and Ronen

Edited by

Stepping backstage at Parke and Ronen‘s first runway show was like stepping into one of my dreams –  but a dream of a very private and parsonal nature. Diego Miguel, Arthur Sales, Rob Evans and a series of scantily-clad and heavily-muscled male models stormed the runway, but backstage they casually went about their business, albeit sans shirts, pants or shame. As I’ve been drunk since Fashion Week began and might not make it to Humpday, may I present Male Model Hangover.
