If you didn’t quite make it through the Versace x H&M madness last week, there’s a new fast fashion collaboration for you to crush on. Mom-to-be Julia Restoin-Roitfeld teamed with Chinese label Me & City to design a 20-piece winter collection, and we’re totally infatuated with the line. Here she stars in the lookbook shot by Mei Yuan Gui.

In a world of mass-produced fast fashion and wasteful production methods, it can be difficult to find unique clothing created in a sustainable manner. Feeling the same way after traveling the world and experiencing the beautiful crafting of local artisans, Jovanna Kruitbosch and Martijn Lugtigheid founded Kiboots in the summer of 2010. Inspired by the original road tripping footwear of 1960s hippies, Kiboots are constructed of leather and one-of-a-kind vintage kilim rugs, handpicked by the designers themselves. I recently met the Amsterdam-dwelling duo to talk about what inspires them, the importance of an eco-friendly business and why they chose to craft with carpet.

We definitely know Forever 21 has taken over almost about every area of “fast” fashion to another level, but I wasn’t aware of these commercials. They’re quite great, mixing glitter and accessories into a bowl is total genius, if only baking an outfit in five seconds part was real life!

Kate Moss isn’t the only hologram to appear during a runway fashion show. For the first time in the United States, fast fashion retailer Forever 21 presented its Hologram Fashion Show in New York and Los Angeles. Produced together with space150, the 7-minute show features holographic models walking a cosmic runway, disappearing into starbursts and climbing invisible staircases that light up underfoot.

This month is all about being eco-friendly and health aware at FashionIndie, and we’re trying to find the very best natural and organic products for you. It’s easy to be informed about what we eat and the beauty products we use, but what about the clothes we wear? This April, as part of their focus on sustainability, H&M will introduce the Conscious Collection. This collection for women, men and children is made from environmentally-adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton, Tencel® and recycled polyester. It will be available in stores starting April 15.

It’s about as fast as fast fashion can get, but Topman still manages to churn out respectable looking pieces from time to time (though respectable quality is a different matter entirely). The brand’s latest lookbook shows off some nice knits, jackets, trousers, and coats, all of it very reminiscent of what’s been on the big boy runways the past few seasons. Jump for more pics.
