Fun Fishtail Side Pony

Apply Pirri Elements Lava Glaze Smooth & Relaxing Serum and, depending on time, blow or air dry your hair. Loosely tie a hair elastic an inch below your neck for a loose braid. You can leave a few strands of your hair out in front to get Fergie’s look. Separate your hair in two equal sections. Begin the braid by taking about an inch of hair from your outer right side and crossing it over to the middle section (towards the inside of the left side). Repeat with the left side. Continue braiding down, taking sections and repeating the mentioned steps— while pulling your hair towards the right side to create a side braid. Tie with your hair tie, once reaching the bottom. Gently remove the elastic hair tie you loosely tied at the top, and finito!

David Armstrong

David Armstrong grew up outside Boston and traveled between his hometown and New York City when he studied at Cooper Union. After receiving his BFA at Tufts University in 1988, he moved to NYC permanently where he began work as a photographer. Starting out with black and white portraits, Armstrong began to experiment with landscapes and cityscapes in the nineties. Luckily, he also has a distinct and introspective eye for fashion – his editorials are moving and emotionally-charged.

Technical difficulties — including inappropriate music cues, microphones cutting out, an errant and uninterested audience, empty awards envelopes and even a full-on blackout after generators blew — were the biggest problems of the night.

That is, if you discount some of the winners acceptance speeches.

MJB won two awards for her My Life by Mary J. Blige fragrance, including Fragrance Sales Breakthrough of the Year, and naturally thanked god, with whom “we can do anything.” Like schill perfume on HSN. Praise him.

Josh Duhamel apparently lied to wife Fergie — of Black Eyed Peas not royal wedding snub fame — telling her he was going on a golfing trip. But surprise! There he was presenting her with the totally legitimate-sounding New Fragrance Celebrity of the Year award for Outspoken.

Fergie, always the picture of class, began her speech with “You fuckers” then thanked the 6.5 million Avon ladies around the world.  Sounds like someone missed out on a perfectly good 18 holes.

Elizabeth Taylor, whose White Diamonds is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, was inducted posthumously into the Fragrance Hall of Fame — because that exists — just in time for fellow Oscar winner Halle Berry to pick up the newly named  Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year award.

Halle, an old pro at this speech thing, left the tears and sincerity at home: “Fragrance is a new love for me. I never thought I’d be here four years later. And I’m inspired by Mary J. Blige and Fergie — let’s keep lifting women up.” Lifting women up, turning them upside down and shaking them till their loose change falls out.

All in all, it was a successful night…I mean, we’re actually talking about the FiFi’s. Aim low and never be disappointed, I always say. [WWD]

- Well, the FiFi’s happened. The fakest award this side of the People’s Choice, this years’ honorees included Halle Berry for “Fragrance Celebrity of the Year” and Fergie for… “New Fragrance Celebrity of the Year.” I’m embarrassed just writing that. [WWD]

What a surprise, another celebrity decided to slap her name on a overly priced bottle of perfume that she will probably never wear . This gets me to think that I should come out with my cologne called, Obnoxious.

The Black Eyed Peas decided it would be a good idea to place an ad for their new album E.N.D. in the September issue of Vogue. They may not have realized that single color ad would cost them $128,220. With Conde Nast failing, I guess they can’t let Fergie get this one on the house.

Fergie was spotted in Paris yesterday wearing  this black shirt dress with multiple cut outs on the side, and last night at our I Heart Fashion Indie event one of the models wore this Don The Verb cut out dress from Oak. It seems to me that this is the equivalent of ripped jeans for the upper body. Yay or Nay?

“I have always loved fashion because it’s a great way to express your mood. And I’m definitely a shoe lover. The right pair of shoes can change the feel of an outfit, and even change how a woman feels about herself. A woman can wear confidence on her feet with a high stiletto, or slip into weekend comfort with a soft ballet flat.

Is it just me or does this shoe collection look familiar? That’s right…cuz it looks just like Jessy Simpson’s shoe line, and every other celeb-designer wannabe line! Just cuz Fergie (what a stupid name to be called after the age of 12) can afford nice shoes, and she loves shoes, doesn’t mean she needs to be designing shoes!

This is the new Fergie song for Sex and the City.

Basically, the song is about a woman who would rather shop than worry about love. Yes, I realize how sad that is.

The Sex and the City theme song can be heard in the background.

Brands mentioned that are better than sex include Louis Vuitton, Prada and Gucci.

It’s days like this that make me proud to be a man.  My apologies to all women with a brain.

Fergie was 23 when SATC hit HBO and 29 when it ended, which to me and the rest of us who actually grew up with the show is far, far from “growing” age.  Maybe she’s referring to her career growth instead of actual growth, which in industry terms would make her about 10?

I appreciate that she feels young at heart, but the lady is pushing 40 and has a face that only radio and a drunk/drugged up/meth addicted Josh Duhamel can love.  Can she please stop considering herself “young” and embrace her age and the rules of fashion. Mid-drifts after midlife are not sexy.
