A little spill here and there during Fashion Week is inevitable. All it takes is an outrageous pair of shoes, maybe in a size too big, and a clumsy model on an off-day for catastrophe to rear its graceless head. A tumble can ruin an amateur’s career or make a veteran look like an a-hole. Whatever the situation, falling is no picnic. But pain is beauty and it takes courage to walk safely in a shocking shoe design. For your shoe-porn pleasure, these 8 pairs of shoes are not merely fantastic, they guarantee runway disasters.

Ice isn't necessary to fall on your face in these thrilling boots. Put a 6 1/2 inch stiletto heel on a curved metal bottom and expect to slip. At least the soles are rubber.

Supposedly these are easy to walk in, but we have our doubts. Hear ankles go snap, crackle, pop as legs forget they are actually walking on alien geometry. Whatever, we're still brave enough to try them.

These shoes, exclusively for Solestruck, are a masterpiece among designs that Manolo Blahnik believe are “exquisite, divine and perfect”

What makes them all around sensational is that every step of production is fair and clean. They source all of their materials as by-products of other industries. Then the shoes are skillfully constructed in an atelier in Brazil.

A triumph in shoe architecture from our English friends across the pond, these wedges are trying to make a point. Distinguished by a six-digit number, the Finsk 252-106 looks just as good from the back as it does from the front. Coincidence or brilliant engineering? We think the latter.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a pair of heels I really liked, but Finsk has changed my luck! I love how the leather is layered and wrapped around the heel as well as the boot and has a treated sheen to it. With an exposed zipper and a burgundy wood heel base, I highly doubt these heels could get any more incredible!
