SPREAD UM: “Santa Monica, CA” Behati Prinsloo for Flair

This spread gives you a good look at the Prada over the knee wellies (out of the water!) and plenty of other thigh high boots – pretty unexpected on the beach. The tousled hair and bulky sweaters are more fitting, especially on breezy beach nights, my personal favorite time to visit. This laid back spread was shot by Matthias Vriens-McGrath.

SPREAD UM: “Bon Ton” Flair July 09 by Chad Pitman

This Flair editorial is making me wish that I was alive in the 1940’s. I am obsessed with the retro styling, glamorous make-up and strong personality that the models took on during this shoot. These totally look like stills from a film and I wish they were – I’d be watching. Check the gallery to indulge in the old hollywood glamour.

SPREAD UM: “La Sera è Couture” Flair April 2009

Couture might be out of our price range, but it certainly remains near and dear to our hearts in Flair’s April 2009 editorial ”La Sera è Couture.” Shot by Magnus Unnar, model Charlotte di Calypso brings natural life and movement to the glorified garb, showing the wearable side of couture. The spread is almost amateur, sometimes blurry or shadowed, enhancing the naturally grounded appeal of a girl lucky enough to wear couture. What a breath of fresh air in an age where photoshop ruins everything natural about….well…everything.
