MALE MODEL HUMPDAY: Dude, I Wanna Gay Marry You

Flaunt Magazine just came out — badoom-ching! — with an editorial celebrating gay marriage, appropriately-titled “Some Dudes Marry Dudes,” starring Brian Shimansky and perennial favorite Chad White. Styled by Long Ngyuen and lensed by Ruvan Wijesooriya, the spread calls to mind another dudes-gettin’-hitched story by Out Magazine from 2010. In Matthias Vriens-McGrath‘s “Viva Las Vegas,” Jason Morgan and Mark Ricketson paint Sin City red in bachelor finery courtesy of Grant Woolhead. This Male Model Humpday, we’re in a matrimonial mood so allow us to pop one question in particular — which couple takes the wedding cake?

Today’s featured manicurist is Jenna Hipp, a green celebrity nail stylist who works with all the big names in Hollywood from Michelle Williams to Kate Bosworth. Her understated, sophisticated nail art never contains harsh or harmful ingredients and has been featured on more magazine covers than we can count. Men’s fashion has gotten a lot less boring over he last decade and a large amount of credit is due to Thom Browne. Erik Sims is photographed by Tony Duran for Flaunt magazine wearing, yes, Thom’s “nylon athletic mesh wrap dress.” Coon you dig it?

Ever since DVF pioneered the wrap dress in the 70s, I have sought a male equivalent; that perfect piece to show off a lot of thigh yet still feel like a gentleman-like lady with a tightly-cinched waist. Throw a trenchcoat and a cowl over that dress and you’ve got my go-to ensemble for the rest of the fall.

As for the raccoon tails, they just lend an air of rustic glamour. The kind of glamour that says ‘I only come out at night. I have a dramatic kohl eye and perhaps a touch of rabies’.

For womanish men everywhere, tired of the same old pair of slacks and button downs, thank you, Thom Browne.
