I’ve heard it a thousand times before, and the Machine still gets me. The thunderous voice of Florence Welch is backed by a personality, a powerful direction that shows just as strongly through her clothes. With yesterday’s release of her new single No Light, No Light with new remixes, we’re loving Florence + The Machine even more. And thus have found 20 images of Florence looking impecable. <span

Sad. I was totally looking forward to Snooks getting her culture on.

Meanwhile, the University of Florida’s study abroad program also wants nothing to do with the Shore. The iconic Italian house is celebrating its 90th birthday this year and just entered into a three year partnership with The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Museum. Last night, in the treehouse-like loft of Cipriani Downtown, Gucci presented its latest jewelry and timepiece collections, including the exclusive pieces designed especially for the GRAMMYs. While the best Bellinis in town were passed around the room, I got a chance to learn about all of the chic accessory collections on display and the stories behind them.

<a

The elegant and subtle design has now been incorporated into an 18kt gold jewelry line featuring rings, earrings, bracelets and a modern interpretation of the lariat necklace. Unexpected combinations of colors, such as black onyx, black diamonds on black synthetic corundum secured by 18kt pink gold Horsebit links, offer glamorous reinterpretations of the Horsebit icon. I was pleasantly surprised to find a stylish boutique in the tiny town of Panzano in Chianti. This sleepy village was mostly famous for it’s butcher and agricultural history…Not fashion.
I walked into the chic space of Verso X Verso, a store that sold custom and handmade shoes on one side. The other side had a small, exquisite collection of sculpted women’s clothes. Each jacket, skirt and top were meticulously pieced. The silhouettes were very flattering to the curves.
The woman behind this hidden pocket of glamor was Karina Wollinsky. She started her career in economics, but came back to her dream of fashion design after studying at the Florence School for Fashion.
The designer has a clear passion for her work. Touching the shoes and seeing the clothes, you appreciate her eye for detail too. She can be contacted at info@versoxverso.com
<img
