Bookclubbin’: Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself by François Nars

Edited by

François Nars isn’t interested in aesthetic perfection. In fact, stereotypical definitions of beauty bore him. Perhaps that’s why he decided to republish a book he released in 2001, this time using real people instead of models. The outcome? One of the greatest beauty books of our time available for real women and men everywhere who have a passion for self-expression. Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself by François Nars (Rizzoli 2011) shows readers makeup has the power to transform with the energy of one’s imagination.

Meet Marcel, Hes Stealing The Spotlight

Get ready to welcome Nars’ Pro Prime line front runner, Marcel, the French bull dog who has stepped into the spotlight under the guardianship of Francois Nars, the brand creator. With the new makeup line debuting this May, Marcel is there to remind us all that he’s “More than a Pretty Face”, as the campaign ads read. I’m sure that, despite his cuteness, people are going to wish that they look a bit better than Marcel with the use of the Pro Prime line, but it’s certainly a good way to attract some attention.
