The Hamptons is going to be swarming with the rich and fabulous. It is important that you always look posh and put together even if you’re getting plastered in the middle of the day. Finally you’ll need a pair of  Sperry boat shoes. (Duh!) Don’t forget to bring a blazer just in case and daddy’s credit card.

The Jersey Shore is always a hot spot during the summer months and Memorial Day weekend is probably one of the craziest times it gets. As a Jersey native I have to say that  people were going to down the shore (As we Jerseyans put it) before Snooki and The Situation took over with a camera crew. That being said a Quiksilver duffle is what you want to pack. It can take a beating and be fulled to over capacity with all your weekend needs. While you’re at the beach or walking on the boardwalk these American Eagle shorts have both fashion and function without calling negative attention to whoever is wearing them. Speaking of the boardwalk you can stroll comfortably down it in these Ugg sandals. Lastly you’ll need something nice to impress at the club and an Armani Exchange dress shirt will do the trick. Just make sure you’re tan and party ready.

Fire Island is a major gay destination on the East Coast if you didn’t know. The island is known for it’s nonstop parties and debauchery. If you go this Rag & Bone bag says “I’m here, I’m queer, & I have taste: Get Used To It!”  I recommend packing light since it seems that many of the people running around are not in that much clothes. That’s why this Baskit trunk is totally appropriate. There are a lot of outdoor activities so go for a pack of American Apparel tanks so you have something light and simple that can transition from day to night. Finally I recommend these GAP flip flops:they’re inexpensive, versatile and perfect for a beach day. Remember to leave your heavy layers and inhibitions behind.

The real question is whether or not this commercial is homophobic? See, for a long time governors of backwards places like Arizona and Alabama have insisted that if we legalized gay marriage, it’s only a matter of time before we’d have to legalize bestiality, as we all know that being gay is almost equivalent to falling in love with your dog (Ill, Ryan McGinley flashback).

So is Orangina suggesting that loving a man is almost the same as enjoying the chiseled features of a jungle cat?  Or were they just too afraid to put a man and a man together in a commercial? Also, can Orangina actually be used as aftershave? That just seems like it would leave you face sticky and smelling like rotten oranges.

 Ricky Martin tells the world that he is proud to be a homosexual man.

For years Ricky Martin’s sexuality has come into question and now he has set the record straight. (No pun intended) He went public on his blog saying:

A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And thisis something worth celebrating.

For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that’s the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It’s my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don’t ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I’m at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I’m feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.

Many people told me: “Ricky it’s not important”, “it’s not worth it”, “all the years you’ve worked and everything you’ve built will collapse”, “many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature”. Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.

If someone asked me today, “Ricky, what are you afraid of?” I would answer “the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war…child slavery, terrorism…the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith.” But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.

These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed.

What will happen from now on? It doesn’t matter. I can only focus on what’s happening to me in this moment. The word “happiness” takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.

I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.
I am glad that he has finally decided to let the public in on his life but let’s be honest who hasn’t seen this coming from a million miles away.

Former Project Runway contestant Santino Rice has been pretty busy since the show. He’s been dressing clients, designing cigarette packs for Camel, AND STARRING IN POST APOCALYPTIC GAY ZOMBIE FLICKS!!!!

That’s right kiddies, the fashion world is going gay-for-pay and Santino Rice is leading the way.

In a turn of events that can only happen in Los Angeles, the designer of one of the tackiest Project Runway collections in history is playing a homeless drifter in a movie filled with blood, boners and flesh raping zombies. According to Santino, he doesn’t have a sex scene in the film, but his bio on the films website which lists the designer as “bisexual” suggests otherwise.

Eitherway, Santino isn’t the only fashion type who makes an appearance. Madonna’s former lover/designer/antimodel Tony Ward also makes an appearance.

I’d be slightly tempted to see this if he just imitates Tim Gunn throughout the whole thing…

When the US government jetisoned a giant trash heap of never purchased issues of Details Magazine into space, no one assumed they’d ever reenter earth’s atmosphere as a giant flaming gaytorite, especially not Butch Aiken. The Ohio teen came face to face with the powerful gaytorite one fateful evening while leaving his on again/off again friends with benefit Stellas house (more on her later). Gifted with the amazing ability to steal his girlfriends clothes and “work”a manbag, BICURIOUS is the ever fierce but always questionable member of the League of Extraodinarily Overstyled Gentlegays.

KARMEN GREY a.k.a. TWINKLE

A 48 year old mad stylist with the face of an infant, Karmen was gifted with perpetual youth while working the shoot of legendary snap jockey CoCo Le Farge. While shooting an Arabian scene, Karmen “unintentially” rubbed the nub of the ancient photographer releasing a magical genie that granted him one singular wish. The man asked for eternal youth and now he looks like that kid from Home Alone. No real powers but he gets carded everywhere he goes.

LEPIDIS JONES a.k.a. THE INCREDIBLE CHUNK

After spending years extreme dieting (eating laxatives and vomiting), Lepidis discovered an incredible inability to loose that last 10 pounds that would render his face thin and his belly small. He uses his extra girth to push out waify socials from front row seats at fashion week and complains daily about how fat he is and how thin everyone else is, thereby making everyone around him feel a little bit better about themselves.

STELLA MESSING a.k.a. FAG HAG

Realizing that she would never find anyone who could “understand” her as well friend with benefits, Butch Aiken, Stella left her job at Kohl’s to follow the transformed Bicurious and become an honorary member of the League. She has the amazing ability to not realize when the gays are being sarcastic to her and can look “frumpy” no matter what she wears.

DAVID JANIS a.k.a. NIGHT SHADE

Half Man, Half Gayday, Night Shade uses his incredible cybernetic glasses to quickly identify runway pieces on the street, spot suitable man meat, and totally know when someone actually has a good body or is just sucking in his gut to appear like he’s skinny. A bit of a loner, Night Shade only joined the League in a failed attempt to get into Bicurious’ pants. He can normally be found at fashion week afterparties… with his shades set to stunning!!!

I know we’re totally on the late train with this one, but I just spotted this gay version of the Levi’s commercial in which the dude pulls up his pants and causes a couple million in property damage. I think it’s smart that they made a gay version of this ad, but think its funny they used the same model for both. Does this mean that Levi’s is the official jean of bisexuals everywhere?
