I have an unhealthy relationship with my iPhone. We sleep together, it always lets me know where I am and where I’m going (thank goodness for Maps and iCal), and with the email/tweeting/texting/Angry Birds combo platter, any human vying for my attention is usually doomed. That being said, I’m always in search for stylish, multifunctional tech accessories I can bling out my little pal with. Henceforth, iFrogz Luxe snap-on hard case and earbuds. I decided to test out the products while actually writing this post and simultaneously jamming out to the freshly downloaded Britney Spears CD (which is actually quite energizing).

The New York Times has selflessly taken it upon itself to enumerate 2010′s “Worn-Out Fashion Terms” and among the violators are “couture”, “statement outfit” and “fashionista.” So out with the old and in with the new as Fashion Indie has selflessly taken it upon itself to enumerate 2011′s “Soon to Be Worn-Out Fashion Terms.”

I have a confession to make. I’m a total geek. For that reason I get really excited whenever I spot items that are in support of my geekish ways. These WTFJeans are the epitome of geek chic. The pockets are lined to with a special microfiber that cleans and protects your iPhone, there is a space for your USB and the creators current denim collection is currently in beta (whatever that means).

A lot of the styles in this video are currently raping Williamsburg. Seriously, I saw a dude dressed like contestant number one just yesterday. Make it stop!!! Thank god for the guys who actually know how to dress. As for the ladies still pushing geek, your days are totally numbered and you know it…

Old Navy is desperate to seem hip. So much so that they would use a trend that’s on its last legs in their new ad campaign. Like J.Crew before them, Old Navy has their models wearing glasses in their new ads. Geek-chic?! Really? We’re over it!

It seems that the tides have turned, Madonna the chameleon of style has rocked her last look and unfortunatly that look is a that of a soccer mom. Even here at Fashion Indie we are kind of over Madonna’s style. But have no fear there’s someone waiting in wings that take her place, her daughter Lourdes. I know we’ve seen the geek-chic, American Apparel look on so many hipster, but Lourdes has the ‘tude to pull it off.

If you haven’t noticed, J. Crew is trying to get rid of their preppy reputation, instead trying to go for a hybrid preppy-hipster look. If you take a look at their site every model have these J.Crew designed geek classes. These glasses could be yours for the very hipster-price of $325. Yes, $325 bucks. My advice would be just to go to a thrift store. But for all you nouveau riche-preppy-hipsters these are the glasses for you!
