Keep your $10,000 Crocodile Bag, I Don’t Need It!

Walk into any high-end store and you are bound to feel like the elephant in the room. I never knew browsing was a crime, but I never even consider going into these stores unless I look tip-top and have intent to buy. Even with economy driving designers into the ground, forcing even Prada to plaster sale signs in their windows, Versace refuses to “stoop” to that level. CEO of Versace, Giancarlo Di Risio, a strong believer that the label is only for the elite clientele, refuses the idea of a sale because it will attract “regular” people. Di Risio stated:
“We want to offer a real luxury and not to open our doors to the consumption of young girls who can put the designer handbag of their dreams on their arm with less than 300 Euros. We are not interested in that.”
