Bensoni described the fall/winter 2011 collection with characters from a gothic wedding: country cousins in tartan, plaids and military coats; flower girls in the signature melting rose print; bridesmaids wearing audacious dresses to steal attention from the bride; and the somber mother of the bride, clad completely in black, mourning the loss of her daughter’s innocence. The fatigued, Sunday night fashion week crowd at The Standard bounced at the site of luscious furs, heavily adorned Jinny Kim for Bensoni shoes and opulent metallic fabrics. Armor jewelry made a statement with body bling resembling rib cages and neck-to-collarbone beaded chokers. Serious, yet radiant, the wearer won’t have one boring moment in this collection.

Vintage lace-up combat boots with patent leather toes and heels, bronze dusted leather leather trim, lace embellishments and six eyelits…the only thing these perfect kicks don’t have are a pair in my size! Devastation!
