Spring keeps teasing us with these hints of sunshine and warmth here in New York City. Then the next week; it’s clouds, rain and wind. Walking home every day I pass all the stores in SoHo and saw Spring everywhere, which led me to take all my Spring/Summer dresses and tops out from under my bed. I got all excited and started trying them all on again and mixing new pieces and re-styling my wardrobe. But I suddenly realized, I’m not in love with most of these pieces anymore. Having two upcoming weddings and multiple events, I can’t afford to go out and purchase a handful of new Spring dresses like I used to. I had an epiphony! I’m going to rent them! Rent The Runway has the designer dresses I love from Catherine Malandrino, Gryphon, Tibi, 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent and Christian Cota. I’m going to be looking fabulous in designer, only at a mere fraction of the cost. What’s also great? Living in New York, I can put in the request the morning of and have the dress or accessory couriered to me! It’s perfect and a win win situation. Bring it on Spring!

Rock-n-Shop Opens This Weekend

Rock-n-Shop is a hybrid retail/live music experience designed to explore the fusion of fashion and rock-n-roll. The Rock-n-Shop concept emphasizes fall’s biggest trend: rocker-chic fashion. Fusing retail/entertainment and shopping/listening, Rock-n-Shop showcases 25 apparel, jewelry and accessory brands, as well as live performances by indie bands. Throughout the three-day run, bands/artists spontaneously ‘Pop-Up’ to perform.
