I’m Over It: Scarves on Purses

I thought we got rid of this horrid trend two years ago, but it’s back to make me blue in the face. Does your handbag get cold? Does it have a hickey that needs covered? Or maybe your accessory is just feeling the need to accessorize? Whatever it may be, just stop making lame excuses and admit your fashion sense is whack. Check yourself before you wreck yourself…or my car. I was too distracted by your bag to watch the road.

Designer Discovery: Rebecca Minkoff

Born in San Diego, California, Rebecca’s first love was the art of design and began sewing at the age of 8. Although Rebecca’s handbags have been a hit among the stars and women all around the world, she began designing clothing at the age of 18. She launched her clothing line in 2001, but it wasn’t until her good friend and actress Jenna Elfman asked her to design a handbag for her next movie that the ‘Morning After’ bag was born.

Her clothing line had the details that one would expect in a well made garment and were cut to move over the body with ease. She took these ideas to her handbag collection, wanting to design bags for everyday women that were versatile in color and comfortable in style. This 26 year old has made her mark in the New York fashion scene as a notable designer and plans to bring back her clothing line next Spring.

Nutella Becomes Fashionable

My favorite guilty snack just collided with some fabric and two handles. That’s right, the Nugella bag replicates the container it is sold in and is targeted to gluttonous fashion addicts.

Would you buy this indies?
