Make that testosterone tempered by the calming effects of age and rehab. To wit, Chilli Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis called his dad crying when he heard the news. Kiedis also expressed his happiness over what this means for late guitarist Hillel Slovak who “picked up a guitar in the 1970s and didn’t make it out of the 1980s,” saying this was really “his induction.”

Meanwhile, the original lineup of Guns ‘N Roses might get all touchy-feely as well. Drummer Steven Adler, who left the band in 1990, hopes they can just hug it out, if only for one night:

“I just had lunch with Slash two days ago. He loves Axl [Rose]. He holds no grudges towards him. Twenty years of great music wasn’t created because of some stupid grudge…Can’t we just be fucking people who played music and accomplished a huge goal in their life and just play a couple songs? It’s only rock and roll, my god! It’s not rocket science.”

Rose, for his part, has not completely ruled out the possibility but said that it’s “up in the air.”

Other Hall of Fame inductees include Laura Nyro (whose Gonna Take a Miracle LP with LaBelle is essential listening for any and every one), The Small Faces/The Faces — perhaps best known for launching the career of one Mr. Rod Stewart — and 60s pop icon Donovan.

Fifteen acts were nominated for the Hall this year who, in order to be eligible for consideration, had to release their first albums by 1986. Ballots were sent out to 500 voters who wittled the list down, meaning that fellow nominees — The Cure, Donna Summer, Eric B. & Rakim, Heart, War, The Spinners, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and my personal favorite, Rufus with Chaka Khan — will have to wait another year. The 27th annual ceremony will be held at Cleveland Public Hall and broadcast on HBO in early May. [Rolling Stone]

- A test shot of Julianne Moore as Hillary Clinton for the HBO movie, The Special Relationship, proved so strikingly similar to the real Mrs. C, I had to do a double take. Though the part ultimately went to Hope Davis after Moore dropped out to do The Kids Are All Right (good choice), I can’t help but wonder what could’ve been. 1. Drink – Yes it’s still technically the morning and yes I have been half in the bag since…Tuesday, but a girl has to keep warm somehow, despite what modern science has to say.

2. Board Games – Who’s ready for some wholesome family fun?! Yeah, me neither. But everything is more entertaining when it involves forced disrobing. Strip Monopoly anyone? I’m going to need something bigger than a thimble, though.

3. Golden Girls marathon – What better comfort in life is there than the crotchety banter of four grandmothers with impeccable comedic timing, seated around 3 sides of a kitchen table in their ostentatious robes, stuffing their faces with cheesecake and regaling each other with their sexual misadventures? Nothing — that’s what. If it’s not, for some ungoldy reason, on TV, there’s always the interwebs.

4. Drink – I saw Carrie Fisher‘s one-woman show on HBO, Wishful Drinking, and if I learned anything from it, it’s that booze only makes awful things fun. And that having Debbie Reynolds as a mother is a double edged sword; however, both edges are covered in insanity.

5. Sex - I’m vaguely familiar with the concept, but I hear it’s fun and a good way to pass the time. If you’re sans a sexual partner, you can always dry hump a body pillow. I’m also vaguely unfamiliar with the concept, but I hear if you turn off the lights, put on some Prince and think of handbags, it’s practically the same.

6. Drink – I’m already planning a Naomi Campbell-inspired cleanse to shed some of this booze bloat and holiday hangover weight. Who knew it was possible to gain 15 lbs over the course of one day?

7. Cannibalism – This is strictly for when, inevitably, the snow covers the entire east coast causing power to fail, the exhaustion of all food sources and the Four Horses of the Apocalypse to saddle up. But, if you can’t eat your loved ones who can you eat?

In hopes of cashing in on the vampire trend, HBO is launching its new True Blood jewelry line. Designed in collaboration with designer Udi Behr, the items include fang-like clasp closures.

Behr designed the collection of rings, necklaces, and earrings using the TV show’s themes as inspiration. The pieces, which incorporate sterling silver, stainless chain, leather and rubies, target fans of the show and its gothic aesthetic. Prices range from $59 to $1,295.

Though I’m certainly not at any age to run to CVS and pick up some anti-aging products, this gotme a little angry. On the premiere of the documentary Youth Knows No Pain, on HBO last night, Allure editor Linda Wells came clean about these products.

Ms. Wells begins to explain though the products don’t actually do what you want, if they make you feel better then it’s not a bad thing to go purchase. Okay, I get the whole psychological aspect that she’s hinting at, but don’t say it’s not a bad thing to purchase a product that doesn’t work! It’s not like everyone thinks these are miracle products, but they had some faith in them. Well, maybe not anymore.

If anyone was ever wondering what would happen if all four Sex and the City women pulled a Miranda and moved to Brooklyn, you’ll soon find out! No, it’s not a Sex and the City spinoff, and the only Sex and the City actress in it is Sarah Jessica, but you never know, it could work.

Based on the book Prospect Park West written by Amy Sohn, a new HBO series is being developed called Sex and the Stroller Set. The show follows around four different women who live in Brooklyn as they manage kids, husbands, work, and I’m sure a ton more. Each woman has her individual “role” in the crew, and sofare we’ve uncovered the freelance writer, the actress, the workaholic, and the former lesbian. Seems like quite the group!

She isn’t really doing anything, but Shannyn Sossamon still manages to look gorgeous while doing…nothing (brushing her teeth, sitting in the bathtub with her clothes on, putting on mascara…I mean, I sit fully clothed in my bathtub every day, don’t you?)  Sossamon is set to be in an HBO show that debuts this fall, so maybe this shoot is supposed to be used as a promo, or maybe Darren Ankenman realizes how gorgeous she is, too?
