It’s probably a sick hipster inside joke (answers the jaded 20-something that I really am). Considering we found it on a site called PoorlyDress.Failblog.org, and it cropped up on other tumblr, Tastefully Offensive, we’re thinking these aren’t in full scale production… yet.

Do these have a chance at salability? At wearability? Will more hipsters be on that train to earwarmingtown? Will junior highers adopt the lobe-cap as the next Tamagachi? Will high school kids soak them in vodka and let the booze soak in through their ears? Where will the ear beanie go from here??

But seriously, if Karl Lagerfeld did a diffusion line of them, would you wear it?

I would describe my current look today as pretentious hipster. (I write this article as I sit in the office wearing a overly bleached tee, over-sized plaid shirt, cutoffs, combat boots and calf high dress socks.) That being said many people don’t like the term “hipster” so we decided to scrounge up 5 mens shirts that could be considered as such if worn one way but in actually can be styled quite versatile.

It is no surprise that everyday in the FashionIndie office the team comes up with the most bizarre and funny shit to talk about, but today our unsolved discussion concluded in the world of oxfords. Does Wearing Oxfords, file you  as a hipster?

The Perfect shoe for winter, you can wear them with just about everything, guys and girls can rock them, but one problem, does wearing them make you a HIPSTER? I vote yes, and everyone else decided no… I still say they’re hipster shoes.

Gavin McInnes of Vice Magazine was kind enough to share 12 of the lamest attempts at hipsterdom. From jackets that give you boob jobs to guys rocking fire blankets as coats, the list provides warnings for all those attempting to be idiotic ironic.

Hipster’s have successfully brought the millennial generation lookback regrets. You can tell very quickly by this photo above that none of these people will be happy with their sartorial choices when zipping their motorized scooter around the senior center in 50 years.
