Karlie Kloss Overjoyed After Discovering Victoria’s Secret

Edited by

Having strutted her high-fashion stuff for every luxury brand from Dior — for which she opened several consecutive seasons — to Chanel and back, Karlie Kloss couldn’t contain her excitement at walking the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Eschewing her usual runway ferocity, Karlie was all smiles — and the occasional guffaw — as she strutted to Kanye West‘s feral flow. Feral, because he’s clearly wearing Versace x H&M, with jaguars ensconced within its exuberant prints,  as opposed to his usual casual attire. Check out the gallery for more of Karlie’s joyful jaunt down the catwalk.

Get Excited!!! Versace x H&M Lookbook and Campaign Images Are Out!!!

Edited by

Exclamation points! As I’m writing this, I’m currently camped out the Herald Square H&M awaiting the Versace collection to which I have already pledged to devote my entire paycheck. Okay, I haven’t lined up yet…that’s what the weekend is for. But for the time being, take a gander at my new fall/winter wardrobe and the accompanying campaign, shot by renowned duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and starring the adorable River Viiperi and Naomi winners Lindsey Wixson, Daphne Groeneveld, Sasha Pivovarova and Abbey Lee Kershaw.

And the Naomi Goes to…: FashionIndie’s 1st Annual Model Citizen Awards

Edited by

Awards season  has just begun and while film and the occasional TV stars are busy patting themselves on the back — among other places — we’d like to take some time out to honor our favorite catwalkers and posers of the past year. Roll out the red carpet and break out your best Joan Rivers schtick — “Ugh, Lara! Were you in a car accident because it looks like you left the airbags under your dress!” — we’re going to the FashionIndie Model Citizen Awards!

The Daily Gasp: More Versace x H&M

Edited by

As you may have realized, we’re a tad bit obsessed over the Versace for H&M collabo. And with each new ad campaign image rolling in, a collective gasp arises from the FI loft. Pearls are clutched, vapors are fanned, ladies are fainted. This time, noted tumbler Lindsey Wixson is flanked by two male models, thus combining our two favorite things: metallics and half-naked mens.

You’re Here, You’re Queer, Get Into It: Picking the Perfect Coming Out-fit

Edited by

Today is October 11th, better known as National Coming Out Day — the day when all excuses for “drunken” late night hook-ups, all half-hearted reasoning behind “accidental” brushes against the thigh and innumerable piles of carefully hidden porn come tumbling out of the closet. After all, it’s 2011 and being gay is okay. You can kind of get married — if you live in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, New Hampshire or Washington D.C. — and you can openly serve in the military — as if you would either way — so what’s not to be proud of? And sure, being gay’s not all is cracked up to be — it really doesn’t get that much better — but it’s still better than living a lie that no one nor their mother is buying. So go head, Mary, wave that rainbow flag and blast your Lady Gaga ’cause lady you were born this gay.

INDIE NEWSROOM: Carine Starting Her Own Magazine!…SJP Hags It Up for S Moda…Scott Schuman is Kind of a Dick

Edited by

Carine Roitfeld, by the Grace of Coddington, is coming back to the magazine world: ”I would love to do four times a year. Initially, I wanted it on the Internet, but it’s a lot of investment, a lot of time, I do not know if it suits me. I know that now you have to work with the Internet, and the photos are of very good quality on the iPad, but things quickly go out of style on the Internet. We’ll start with print. A September issue next Fall, in English.” [Fashionologie]
