Who knew Barbie was a hoarder and her Dreamhouse a sh*thole? Inspired by TV shows like Hoarders and How Clean Is Your House?, artist Carrie M. Becker put together this miniature trashed living space to link the doll’s overconsumption lifestyle with a hoarder’s reality. The details are astonishing and actually quite disgusting, which is why we are obsessing over it. Looking at the photos is like a Where’s Waldo? game. Can you find the Chanel and Gucci bags?

Kim Kardashian rang in the year 2012 with a bang, and we are talking about her hair. The recent divorcé celebrated New Year’s Eve at Tao Las Vegas with newly cut fringe and a hefty paycheck – she reportedly made $600,000 just for attending the party. Though all this information makes me incredibly nauseous, I must say the bangs suit her. She went from banging Kris Humphries to banging herself on NYE and hey, I guess she looks pretty good.

Even Elephants are Getting Pedicures for NYE

Okay, so maybe these elephants weren’t getting their nails did for New Year’s Eve per se, but they did get all dolled-up in Nepal for a three-day, elephant-themed festival. Bright colors were lacquered on their tootsies with a paintbrush as bright, beautiful designs were drawn on their faces. The festival was held to encourage Nepal tourism and raise awareness about preservation efforts. It included such events like an elephant beauty pageant, elephant soccer and elephant races. But we’re more interested in the types of nail art that could happen with toenails this big! See photos after the jump.

To Gain or to Lose?: Victoria’s Secret Models’ Pre-Show Diets

What goes down when it’s mere six weeks before the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and the Angels need to start prepping their already gorgeous bods for the big day. You’d think consuming only liquids and lettuce would be enough, but their regimens are much more intense. While a gal like Adriana Lima follows a very strict diet in the time leading up to a show, Chanel Iman gains 15 pounds for the occasion.

Chanel Iman told Modelinia she tries to gain weight before a show. “I have a big potluck at my house. All my friends bring over food and we barbecue and party it up!”

Holler girl. What about Lima’s intense regimen? Six weeks before a show, she works out twice a day and eats only lean protein and green vegetables with an occasional protein shake or cereal bar for a snack. Nine days before, she goes on an all-liquid diet, replacing real food with protein shakes. Then a mere 12 hours before a show, she stops drinking all liquids completely, including water.

The founder of Missoni turned 90 this year, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to make him a star in the newest campaign. Aptly titled “A Wonderful Life,” these beautiful photos were shot by Juergen Teller against Alberoni Reserve at the Venice Lido. Models Kaitlin Aas, Valeria Kelava, Kinga and Kristina Salinovic joined Tai for his close-up.

Edward Enninful Seeing More Young Black People Getting Involved in Fashion

Fashion is perhaps the most openly racist industry in the world today — examples A, B and C…and D, E, and F– but W‘s new fashion and style editor, Edward Enninful hopes that we’ll all soon be “one global fashion industry.”

Speaking with the Huffington Post, Enninful notes that while there are “still very few black people,” the American fashion industry has reassessed its approach to fashion. And who else do we have to thank but that certified brick house of a Fierce Lady, Michelle Obama:

“You know, for one of the most influential women in the country to be black. I know that meant a great deal to a lot of black people in the fashion industry. And also now we have Twitter, we have the internet, and I’ve seen so many young black people who are involved in fashion. They’re making their own clothes, they’re styling, they’re taking photographs, and I guess the future generation to come, they’re all racing to become one global fashion industry. That’s what I hope, anyway.”

Enninful goes on to describe working with Franca Sozzani on the now legendary “Black Issue” of Vogue Italia, claiming the editix “put her money where her mouth is”:

“She continued to feature black models, she continued to feature different body types or body shapes. She continued to challenge the norm, which is the question that we’ve been talking about, and I feel that’s what we want to take from W as well. We want to make everybody a part of the after-party.”

It’s kind of ridiculous that it’s 2011 and we’re still discussing racism at all, let alone racism in an industry as forward-thinking and revolutionary as fashion. Andrej Pejic just did double duty in mens and womenswear during São Paulo Fashion Week, after all.

Luckily there are people like Ed Enninful leading the way towards a new ethnically rich and diverse fashion frontier. [HuffPo]

It’s like I always say ‘You Don’t Fuck with Anna Wintour.’ If she demands your first child, you better give her your first born pronto. Evidently politico-blog ‘The Huffington Post’ doesn’t know of my mantra. Because yesterday they posted this feature on the most powerful women in fashion

Vogue editor Anna Wintour is the international arbiter of fashion, recognized in an instant by her haircut and large sunglasses. But what does she really look like? Thanks to the strength of today’s digital cameras and the below AP photo from Thursday’s Tommy Hilfiger show, cropped several ways to show every pixel, now you can know.

And then they proceeded to display blown up photos of Miss. Wintour non-botoxed face and tennis-toned arms. All in poor taste, but I will show ya the photos anyway.

Sounds like Miss. Wintour is going to have a Huff-o writer’s head.
