How to Transform Fall Trends into Spring
Edited by Jessica Lapidos
Extending your clothing from Spring to Fall is relatively simple – they become your bottom-most layers as you build above them for the cold. But what about Fall into Spring? Those pieces are thick and warm, often too much so for the weather. It’s tricky, but I’ve plucked out some pieces you might have scooped up this fall, and I’ll show you how to work them into your wardrobe this spring.

I haven’t seen anyone wrap a jacket around their waist since the late 90s, but from an aesthetic viewpoint, I like how it looks! This girl spotted outside of the Iceberg Fall 2010 show probably did the wrap around because she was a bit too warm, but I can totally see people doing this for style purposes! Forget sweatshirts and button-ups around the waist, leather jackets are where it’s at…but quick, you’ve only got a few weeks to do this before it gets too hot!

It’s Huck Finn meets 1940′s newsboy for Iceberg’s Fall 2010 menswear collection. Tweet blazers, wool slacks, chunky scarves, shearling coats, a few boldly striped accessories and silk scarves are the predominant pieces. Nothing new and nothing overly special, but great styling is great styling.
