Simon Doonan, Barney’s creative director, states that high-end brands are sending their competitors’ bags to Snooki in hopes that the pint-sized Jersey Shore misfit won’t carry their own. Apparently the influence of Snooki and Co. is so negatively pervasive that brands will do anything–even give away $900 Gucci handbags–not to be associated. Hooray?
