IS MENTAL
THE TEN: Best Street Style Blogs (Besides Fashion Indie, Of Course)
We asked, and you told! Here are some of the best street style blogs (besides ours), including some favorites mentioned by our Twitter followers (in no particular order):

IS MENTAL: An awesome blog in itself, but also featuring some rad streetstyle from the webworld

Altamira NYC: Nicknamed the ‘off duty models blog,’ all sorts of industry peeps are featured on Altamira, making it even better than it already is to look at for street style.

Hoy Fashion: Streetstyle from London, Manchester, and Liverpool. What I like best about this styleblog is that it also includes close-ups of everyone’s faces

Jak and Jil: An absolute favorite, Jak and Jil frequent events and fashion shows, catching models, designers, and other fashion peeps, which makes for the most fashionable styleblog on the web

Glam Canyon: A typical feature in Fashion Indie’s RAW feed, and another unique look at style worldwide

Style Defined: A look at NYC’s style elite, and a guest photographer at Fashion Indie’s SoHo Grand events!

The Sartorialist: Given. So painfully cool that they have their own book.

Lookbook.nu: The roots of style blogs everywhere (including numerous style bloggers). Lookbook.nu was formerly an exclusive street style blog for invited members only, but I think they’ve opened it to the rest of the public now (judging by some of the horrors found on the site…) Regardless, it’s always a good site for Street Heroes, by the thousands.

Face Hunter: Another worldwide photo snapper, Face Hunter was the first style blog that I ever began to frequent (back when I was still in Michigan and didn’t know my way around the internet). I think I made a wise first choice, and I’ve been coming back ever since.

Click Clash: An East Coast street style blogger with a lot of fresh taste. Also, check out the blogroll in the right column, tons and tons of good clicks!
Who’s your favorite? Someone we missed?
SHOP Bernhard Willhelm | Naked Ladies Dress $158
I just came across this hilarious Bernhard Willhelm orgy print dress on IS MENTAL, but part of me wonders if you could get arrested for public indecency if worn in public. Loving the creepy lurk. Oh, Bernhard, you never cease to amaze me.
GET IT AT: Monster Commerce
RANDOM COOL: Yimmy’s Yayo

IS-MENTAL was cool enough to introduce both myself and the world to this cool photography website called Yimmy’s Yayo. The site features a solid collection of really cool images from aroudn the web. I dig it!
EVENT: Fashion Indie <3’s Runway 2.0

It’s a little bit of hometown love from me again, but I must give credit where credit is due! Buffalo, NY is having a runway show, and damn it it’s going to be a good one! Runway 2.0 is a show that benefits Buffalo State Colleges blossoming fashion program, as well as up and coming local designers. The event has two separate shows, a student show and a late show which features some already established Buffalo designers. This years late show is featuring none other that ADAM LIPPES! That’s right the Bryant Park Tent veteran is going to be showing at Runway 2.0. When it comes to the student show, I am both honored and proud to be one of the invited judges for the show, alongside Mindy Shine from Adam Lippes, Joan Fedyszyn a local fashion guru and Danae Dade of IS-MENTAL (one of my personal favorite blogs). Check out the flyer above, as well as the Runway 2.0 website for more information. If there ever was a time to come to Buffalo, NY now would be the time! Thanks again to Erin aka Mama Dirty for the chance to be a part of this event, I’m looking forward to it! But the real question is, What am I going to wear?!?!
IS MENTAL Says eBay Is A Valid Shopping Source As Well!
Our good friends over at IS MENTAL found these really cool sparkly booties on eBay, which totally had me thinking why not eBay? Thrifting has become/has been a major staple in completing some of the coolest NYC fashions, and if you think about it eBay is the biggest thrift store of them all. Can’t find that vintage YSL jacket you loved back in 2004? Try eBay. I will admit that I haven’t had the time to search through the massive world that is eBay, but the IS MENTAL folks do quite often. They are constantly posting the treasures they find on eBay, and I love it! Thanks for the cool boots guys.
