Ask any female celebrity, “Who’s your beauty icon?” and she’ll likely answer Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn, or Marilyn Monroe. But while those three classic beauties might be the most obvious contenders, they aren’t the only ones. I have a friend with red hair and fair skin who considers Julianne Moore her beauty icon, and takes cues from photos of Moore as to whether she can pull off a blue-ish red lipstick or a peachy blush herself. I also prefer having a current beauty icon because then her looks change with the trends.

You read right. Those guys who chase down celebrities and take their photos are now getting shows in galleries. Okay, not the guys who photograph Britney Spears, but close. Brad Elterman was a 1970′s celeb photographer and now has a gallery show in Los Angeles.
