She also stressed the importance of casting for male fashion becuase “it’s men who give personality to the clothes they wore.” Where she stands on women and personality is anyone’s guess, but for the cover Carine tapped easy-on-the-eyes French actor Tahar Rahim, shot by Nick Knight. Frequent collaborator and BFF Karl Lagerfeld also stepped behind the lens for the issue, as did Richard Avedon‘s son, Michael, who shot portraits of up-and-coming young actors, including The Hunger Games‘ Alexander Ludwig. Jean Baptiste Mondino snapped hottie bullfighter José María Manzanares and Willy Vandeperre lensed Lima et al for the pin-up calendar.

The ethereally beautiful Wasikowska goes through Balenciaga and Nina Ricci but wears the McQueen finale gown from Spring 2011 to greatest effect as she thrusts and parries with a shirtless Fassbender. Admittedly, I had a minor gasp when I came across this photo…for several reasons.

Speaking of which, Fassbender, didn’t know if you noticed…kind of insanely hot. I can’t wait to see the two brood all over the screen in Charlotte Brontë‘s classic tale of forbidden and love and crazy bitches in attics.

The commercial by Jean Baptiste Mondino is well done, but McConaughey looks like he’s about to laugh the entire time. I don’t mind the guy or anything, but I do think Dolce & Gabbana could have found someone a little more mysterious. You can watch The One Gentleman commercial here.
