Modelled by the fabulous Guinevere van Seenus, shot by Daniel Jackson and styled by Dazed senior fashion editor Karen Langley, while more Franken-fashion comes from Richard Burbridge, Magnus Unnar, Mark Pillai and Max Farago.

Turning green on the Hackney streets, Dazed also meets Laura Mulleavy of fast-rising label Rodarte to talk horror chic, while talented British actress Rebecca Hall take a break from theatre to discuss Dorian Gray, Woody Allen and sex dolls. Dazed also freaks out with the next generation of psychedelic artists, cutting up internet graphics and 80s TV ads to create mind-bending new works that reflect our media-saturated age. Meanwhile, the scuzzy musicians at the heart of the underground lo-fi music scene get real about whether it’s a movement or just a bunch of people making noise – with Wavves, Blank Dogs, Times New Viking, Woods, Kurt Vile, A Grave With No Name and many more.

Elsewhere in October’s Dazed, notorious installation artist Nancy Kienholz, cult comedy duo Tim & Eric, the world’s first black supermodel Donyale Luna, the Slits’ Ari-Up, Brigitte Bardot dressed as a superhero, and the most snappily dressed 60s apocalypse cult you’ll ever see.

The Dazed & Confused October ‘Franken-Fashion’ special issue is on sale on Thursday September 17.

Written by Dazed & Confused

FIRST LOOK: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Launches Teen Line ‘JCDC’

GIRLS

Mens

disney

JCDC

jean charles de castelbajac
<guid

Daniel might have bashed the stuffing out of the Kermit shawl, but there is something so youthfully whimsical, yet sick and twisted, about Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Fall 2009 collection. With the typical D&G leopard prints, primary color plaid and the Muppets as his major focus, de Castelbajac sent out a punky, rebellious collection, poking fun at everything our modern age dubs as “mainstream.” Sure, the collection looked a bit amateur for a Paris runway, but de Castelbajac certainly knows where to place zippers, how to construct uniquely tailored cocktail dresses and what appeals to the crack-heads of the world. This is what I love about the fashion industry- designers who follow their heart, piss people off and have a good time while doing it.

GALLERY: <a

So he heads to the nearest Toys ‘r us and picks up 30 stuffed muppets for $20 bucks and then stitches them together and attempts to charge $5000 for the “art” piece. Of course, in this case, it isn’t some misguided fashion student, it’s French designer <span

Then he jumped on stage shouting into his mobile phone and walked down the catwalk with the last model.

He was also spotted sucking on tampons during Stella McCartney’s show.

Bruno better have some amazing editing cause I can’t imagine any of this being funny if everyone knows who this Cohen is. I almost feel like Borat was one movie that just can’t be imitated and the humor of the “outsider interacting with a strange world” thing isn’t going to get the same laughs twice.

<object
