Here’s a preview of Damien Hirst’s newest denim line for Levis.  The 12 piece collection will include jeans for $230 and t-shirts for $83.

Three limited edition jeans paint blasted by senior petrified shark himself will cost $23,040.

You can make the jeans yourself by wearing a pair of $50 Levi’s out for a day of paintballing.

Worn in, distressed, and disheveled is the name of the game for the up and coming denim label Current/Elliott. Although not entirely excluded, kudos to LA based designers Emily Current and Merritt Elliott for not exhibiting the usual favoritism toward super skinny jeans in their latest collection. The all-inclusive line features denim of the new and old variety such as the super bell-bottom, the high-waisted wide leg, and the baggy, slouchy, neither here nor there boyfriend fit. And lest you think it ends there, the collection also consists of dresses, jackets and skirts, all of which are made from super soft, Japanese stretch denim. A refreshing departure from the posh, starchy denim of late, these jeans are made for living.

Uh oh– Bruce Pask, style setter and men’s fashion director for the NY Times, is finding his pared down basic chic look a little boring.

Now he’s feeling like rolling up his jeans, a la My Three Sons!

Here’s what he wrote in The Moment today: “The other morning I was putting on a pair of jeans to go to work — a regular, nicely worn-in shrink-to-fit pair of Levi’s that I’ve had for quite some time. I put on a pair of sand suede Clark’s desert boots (I’ve been wearing them a lot and loving them lately), looked in the full-length mirror… and felt totally boring. After many traditional jeans-wearing years, with the 501 hem hitting the shoe, this felt ordinary, banal even…and a bit off….”
