Artist Stephanie Simek has just released a new jewelry design, the Pussy Willow Earrings.

Simek’s first design, the Eyelash Necklace (it’s real human hair!), grew out of another art project she had been working on.  Since then she’s been transforming other delicate objects into decorative wearables.  Pieces range from $30-$175, and are available through her website.

Pamela Love‘s eponymous jewelry line reflects her lifelong interest in skeletons, mythology, nature, and science. Her line is a veritable zoo of brass and gold wildlife, anatomy, and fantasy (talons, teeth, snakes, skulls, rams, etc.).  Williamsburg-based Love has said she prefers “pieces that are both rock-and-roll but still earthy.”

The only problem is that they are way behind on the design, and way over on the price. This necklace will cost you $500, or you can go to Neiman Marcus and buy the MARC By Marc Jacobs “Fan” necklace for $62 and feel much better about yourself.
