I just got back from the G-Star Raw Spring 2010 show, and while I should be left with impressions of the clothing, I can’t help but wonder why Kate Lanphear, style director of Elle Magazine, was seated behind celebrities Juliette Lewis, Kat Von D, Eric Balfour and Leonor Varela, let alone on the side runway (yep, that’s her in the upper left corner!) I admire Lanphear’s support of fashion, as I’ve seen her at numerous shows and throughout the tents this past week, and I feel like her influence is far more important than an actor’s or tattoo artist’s.

If I learned one thing during this season’s fashion week, it’s this: DAMN PUBLIC RELATIONS PEOPLE NEED TO GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER.

A friend of the late DJ AM had the beautiful and talented Kat Von D create a lasting memorial. DJ Fashen got inked with a tribute tattoo of DJ AM who died last week. Her work is always so detailed and precise- what better way to remember a dear friend?

With all the perfumes out there, it’s sometimes easier if we classify ourselves to a specific type to break down the confusion. My personal makeup pick this week is BRASS KNUCKLES, a (bright yellow gold) liquid eyeliner from tattoo artist Kat Von D. The Autograph Eyeliner comes in 16 shades and is best used for anyone that loves to wear thin eyeliner or who loves “KAT” eyes. The shimmering colors are very bold, bright, and they dry very fast. The brush is extra slim to help give you a precise inked up line, so you have to be very careful when applying. If not, you may want to leave this makeup item up for the PRO’s.
