To my surprise as I sleepily browsed my Twitter feed this morning, the 2011 American Music Awards were on last night. I couldn’t care less about the crappy music being awarded, so I immediately searched for disappointing red carpet photos. And to neither my nor anyone’s surprise, I found some pretty disappointing red carpet photos. But what’s an awards show without a Red Carpet Report Card commentary? Kelly Clarkson had a thing or two to say of Kanye West’s episode at the MTV VMAs last night. She wrote on her blog:

Dear Kanye,

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough??… I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh*tty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??…
On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!

Kelly Clarkson claims she never lies, so here she is telling the truth to Blender Magazine:

On peeing in the shower: “Anybody who says they don’t is lying.”

On taking pleasure in walking around naked: “I’m the kinda person who just doesn’t like clothes.”

On blowing her nose and then checking the tissue to see what color the snot is: “I mean, if you have a cold, you have to check, to see how sick you are.”

On the essence of her appeal: “The thing with me, and my audience in particular is, people look at me like a sister or a daughter. It’s not like people look at me as unattainable, some kind of star like that. People love the ‘real’ factor that’s involved, I think.”
