Miss Piggy has been hogging the fashion spotlight for quite some time, but now it’s time for all the Muppets to step out in style. Have designers like Tom Ford, Rick Owens, Versace and Michael Kors been secretly inspired by the Muppet clan? We think so, because we found a whole ton of muppet doppelgängers on the runway. They took over Good Morning America this morning, and now they’re taking over FashionIndie. What with all this media, once they’re done saving their theater, maybe they can help save Fashion Week.

For his grand return to the silver screen with The Muppets movie opening Thanksgiving weekend, Brooks Brothers dressed the extremely handsome and talented Kermit the Frog to promote his exciting new film. In addition, a featured interview with everyone’s favorite little green man has a special place on the company’s website.

With a karate chop and a plaintive banjo strum, the Muppets x Opening Ceremony collection is finally here. Kermit, Gonzo, Fozzie, Animal and of course, the diva herself, Miss Piggy get plastered all over sweaters ($230), hoodies ($65) and T-shirts ($45) with the occasional button-down ($180) thrown in for good measure. Noticeably absent, however, is Janice, the cooler than cool, perpetually stoned — tell me once that you’ve seen her with her eyes wide open — Donatella Versace-esque lead guitarist of my favorite band, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. So I officially have a new hero. He goes by the moniker “The Decapitator”. He’s a street artist that has destroyed some of the most annoying ad campaigns the city has ever seen. He’s attacked Carrie Bradshaw, Kermit the Frog, the Uniqlo “cool kids”, and Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical. He may be my best friend. You can catch up with his work on his Flickr account.
