Ben Westwood Brings Celebrity Spawn Worship to Hollywood

Enfant terrible son of Dame Vivienne Westwood, Ben Westwood, is creating an American version of his Spawn: Bound exhibition which will open in New York in September 2009. Subjects will include Paris Hilton, Liv Tyler, Gwyenth Paltrow and Kate Hudson, “all ?bound by the umbilical cord of their parents fame”,? says Ben.

The British version of Spawn:Bound is currently showing at the Bodhi Gallery, 214 Brick Lane in London until the 10th June where his subjects include Sting?s daughter Coco Sumner, Rod Stewart?s daughter Kimberly Stewart, Sir Paul McCartney?s daughter Stella McCartney and Sir Mick Jagger?s offspring Jade & Elizabeth Jagger etc.

Finally some art I actually care about. Wonder if he’s working on all celebrity spawn in the US. Nicole Richie and Miley Cyrus definitely need to be bound.

Twilight Obsession Leads To Dolls That Bite

The obsession with vampire movie Twilight has produced action figure dolls of the main movie characters: Edward Cullen and Bella Swan played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

The dolls are made by Robert Tonner in vinyl/hard plastic with rooted saran hair and hand-painted facial features that resemble the characters in the movie.

The Bella Swan doll comes in at 15” with interchangeable shoes. Edward Cullen comes in at 17”. Both dolls come with 14+ points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, chest, hips, knees, and ankles)

The dolls won’t be available for sale until Spring 2009.

Kimberly Stewart, Leah Wood and Peaches Geldof decided to lez out on the cover of the Tatler.

The threesome posed nude for musician/photographer Bryan Adams for the January issue of the mag.

‘Bryan had the idea,’ the magazine explained. ‘A few eyebrows were raised but Kimberly and Peaches were in. Leah ran in crying “I’ll do it”.

Peaches shows off three of her 17 tattoos in the photograph, including a noose on her left hand, the word ex-valentine on her left shoulder and a symbol on her left leg. So yeah, she’s supposed to be cool.

Is this a message to the masses that these girls have officially become overexposed?
