Obsession in the Bag: L.A.M.B. Ring Finger Clutch

Edited by

Like McQueen has done before her with a clutch to stick your fingers in, Gwen Stefani turned the concept of the ring finger clutch into supple leather. Though I usually oppose clutches as they tend hinder mobility, this one looks like it will hold onto you tight, leaving you not quite so clutching. Hot bloggers Sara Zucker and Holly Stair toyed around with it in the showroom, and now we can’t wait to get our little paws on the L.A.M.B.

This is the kind of dude that might be intimidated by your metallic 7 inch Jeffrey Campbell Lotus platforms (yeah, we’ll see how long he lasts), but you want to have a great date in some guy-friendly heels. If it gets serious, you’ll have to either werq him into your crazier shoe collection step by step, or lead a double footed life. But, seriously, these are some sexy shoes. And if you can find a man that can handle the heel-less platform (which yes, made this list), hold on tight and turn him into your personal-street-style-blog-photographer-boyfriend.

Gwen Stefani takes L.A.M.B. to Noir for a Glam Jewelry Collab

Edited by

After two seasons of glamming the L.A.M.B. runway with Noir Jewelry, Gwen Stefani and Noir desiner Leeora Catalan have teamed up to create a collection together. “We come from the same tribe,” says Catalan of the ease with which they collaborate. The result is a melange of Indian glints and punk glamour. With golden spikes and twisted ropes, beaded jeweled neck plates and diamond cut gold, this shit is bananas, and I want it all.

#NYFW Cheat Sheet: L.A.M.B. Spring 2012

Edited by

Gwen Stefani revisited familiar territory with her spring 2012 L.A.M.B. presentation — lots of tribal and animal prints, jumpsuits and booty shorts for days. She definitely has an aesthetic and it works for her. Nothing revolutionary but Stefani’s Harajuku girl has been hanging out with some tough Banjee girls from around the way and as a result this collection is a little more street but still pretty chic.

Fashion Wars: Lincoln Center v. Milk Studios

Edited by

Ever since Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week moved from the tents at Bryant Park to the metaphorical tents at Lincoln Center, more and more designers have opted instead of external sites to hold their fashion shows. One of the most popular venues, Milk Studios, is now in direct competition with Lincoln Center for both sponsors and designers.
