Emmanuelle Alt is writing her own ticket for VOGUE Paris. I was not expecting a fundamental change in the Editorial Direction being that she has been the Fashion Director of the magazine for over ten years and collaborating with Carine Roitfeld. Thus the assumption that there would be little change from the status quo.

In true Roberto Cavalli fashion, the spring 2011 ad campaign features over-the-top looks and an energetic mood. Photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, models Laetitia Casta, Joan Smalls and Malgosia Bela show off the ornate clothing in front of a bright background. Although the garments are made of leathers and prints in handsome neutrals, the bright outlook for spring shines through.

Word on the fashion street is that the model sat with the luxury goods giant this week to discuss modern advances in photoshop technology. Whether or not the dropped Victoria Secret’s model will be a part of the “Journey” campaign is still in the air, but really, what Journey has the model been on?
