Last (Weeks) Party: Black and White Party Hosted By This Is An Empire

Along with turkey and stuffing, Thanksgiving vacation also brings a ton of partying. This year (as always) I returned to my home in Buffalo, NY with low party expectations, and a plan of drinking solely to ease my boredom. Much to my surprise I was greeted with an amazing party on Saturday night, a party so good that it was Fashion Indie worthy.
The party was hosted by the Dj crew/band This Is An Empire, and co-hosted by Fashion Indie friends Dazzle Me Formal. Dj Dstar was spinning all night, and everyone was having an amazing time. For those of you who don’t know who dj Dstar is be sure to check out his website, he is insane! Tons of Fashion Indie fans and friends were there having a good time.
The scene was very Williamsburg-esque, and I’m sure even the New York City “it” kids are salivating over missing this underground dance party extravaganza. Check out the great pictures my lovely friend Lauren snapped for me, and be sure to check out This Is An Empire, dj Dstar and Dazzle Me Formal because despite what you may think, trendy “it” kids do exist outside of New York City.
Feelin Grown and Sexy. Love Brigade Celebrates 3 Years of Fashion
Becks and I are taking to the streets tonight for Love Brigades Grown and sexy party. I attempted to dress like I make some sense and becks opted for a bit of Brigader loving with her LB earrings. Will give updates if the shizniz is worth mentioning.
Last Night: The Teenagers Take On NYC
The Teenagers invaded NYC and Last Nights Party was there to report on it or something. Seriously fun drinking game, take a shot of PBR whenever a you see a pair of hipster nerd glasses. You’ll be on the floor within one minute.
Nylon TV at Diesel XXX
We just spotted a better video from the Diesel XXX party. It features a hagie looking Cory Kennedy, so consider yourselves warned.

Indies Back Barack

Fashion Indie teamed up with an amazing designer and friend of ours Bob from Brooklyn Royalty to try to raise a few extra dollars for Barack and his campaign. Apparently you indies run strong because the place was packed. We had kids registering to vote, buying limited edition Barack Obama tee shirts, and bidding on an amazing selection of silent auction prizes. However when the debate came on at 9, the place was silent and the crowd was focused on the bigger issue. Check out some of the amazing pictures our friend Rick Louis snapped at the party.
The Cobrasnake Went to Karl Lagerfeld’s Fashion Show and All We Got Were These Flipping Awesome Photos
The Cobrasnake snuck away to Paris to check out Karl Lagerfeld’s show.
You can see all the photos on his site but here are a few of our favorites.
We Like To Party! We Like, We Like To Party!
For all of you who weren’t there (or don’t remember being there), Fashion Indie was proud to be a part of what was easily the biggest party of Fashion Week, and possibly the year. With over 3,000 people in attendence, New York Couture hit the runway showing off their Spring/Summer 2009 line. Joining the party were special guests Lumidee, The Chimney Climbers, and Neon Hitch. Drinks were free and flowing and from the looks of it from where I was sitting everyone was having an amazing time. Be sure to check out the rest of the pictures in the gallery to check out the party.
Fashion Indie would like to thank all the sponsors, New York Couture, and everyone who came out to the party. Without you guys this amazing night would not have happened.
Fashion Rocks, Runway Sucks

Spend less time trying to create a trend, Fad Hatter, and more time looking at yourself in the mirror before stepping outside.

Last Nights Party: Metal Magazine Launch
The party for Metal Magazine was one to not miss. A who’s who of fashion hipsterdom, the group attracted a fair share of models and indies to rock the launch and celebrate the occasion with some of the latino photographers and editors of the mag (seriously, wondering if they have an extra spot available for another hispanical like me).
Check out the party, then feel like a loser for missing it.
Agyness Deyn Makes Me Want To Party
To say we have been a little harsh on Agyness Deyn in the past would be a completely safe thing to say, but after last night my view towards her is beginning to come around. When Fashion Indie found out Agyness was doing a DJ set at Plumm night club we knew we had to be there, so we rounded up the troops and headed out to the club. We spent the night eagarly awaiting her arrival as it got later and later. As I headed down the small stairway to the lower part of the club, who do I run into? None other than Agyness Deyn herself, and I will say she was very nice (and pretty) as I said hello and shook her hand. She was dressed very casual wearing a simple pair of jeans and a slightly oversized tee shirt. Yes if you can’t believe you are hearing me complimenting Agyness and her look you are hearing right. But that is enough of being nice. Agyness as a DJ, not so much. She more or less stood there and played a transitionless set of old classics like Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper. Just because her boyfriend Anthony Ellis (lead singer of Five O’ Clock Heroes and seen above with Richie Rich) let her sing on one track on his album doesn’t make her a musician or DJ at that. My final words of wisdom to Agyness Deyn, you’re a model not a musician. Get it right.
Fashion Fruit-1 Amanda Lepore-0
We held a small event of our own last night at Lola’s in SOHO and couldn’t have been happier wiht the outcome. We met a bunch of cool designers as well as other bloggers and fashionistas. There were good drinks, good food and good friends all there to talk fashion and relax. We will be hosting another one soon so keep an eye out for more information.
We headed over to POP Burger for a quick bite and a drink. On the way I decided to wear Rebecca’s super cool derby hat, and once we got there we couldn’t help but notice this little Agyness Deyn wannabe…Look what you have done Agyness!
We ended the night supporting the has been Amanda Lepore. Yes I said it, Has been. You can argue and she isn’t but with the way you voted on our last Amanda Lepore article you more or less sealed the deal. To top it off poor Amanda had no one at her party. We stopped by quickly to be shocked at the lack of trannys, homosexuals, and regular party goers alike. There were a few stragglers and a monk. It was a sad sight. Poor Amanda.
Last Nights Party: Louis Vuitton, Radar Magazine and the Koreans
What started out as a Louis Vuitton Cruise preview quickly escalated to an all out bash for Radar magazine and then hit a high note when we crashed a Korean society party at Marquee. Just another night on the town for the Fashion Indie crew.
Our first stop was Louis Vuitton’s Cruise collection presentation. The event was frequented by premium customers from local shops, editors, and a handful of bloggers selected by the luxury giant for admittances. While the Growing Up Gotti set from Westchester were a bit disheartening with their over tanned skin and bling blinging silver Louis goods, they didn’t distract too much a collection that incorporated TrendSpark worthy items like embellished biker gloves and askewed square toed wedges.
After sipping just the right amount of Moet spritzers, we took our crew, which included newly appointed PR intern Corey (dude looks like a better version of Zac Efron) and fellow bloggers from Haute Concept and another blog which I am completely forgetting right now cause my memory as reliable as a Alzheimer patient (please contact me ).
We headed straight to a Radar Magazine party where we were hoping to meet cover model Pamela Anderson. She’s was MIA, but we spotted a big mix mosh of fashion donts and folks not trying hard enough to impress. The lack of AC and poor music choices by the DJ ( Jackson, Celebrate Good Times, and Bee Gees. Good for weddings, not “hot” parties) made us wish we hadn’t ordered Room Service (See what I did there, I mentioned the club in a pun. HAHHAHA. Someone get me a reality show).
We ran out of Room Service with our entourage in tow and headed to Cain where a friend of mine was set to DJ. We arrived earlier than we should have (10:00 PM is not the time to arrive at a club) and decided to head to Marquee to see what was happening. We hit the door and the bouncer asked what party we were there for. A giant sign provided an answer, KAFP. Of course we didn’t realize the event was for the Korean Association of Financial Planners when we headed in, but the open bar and the uberly cute Asian DJ mixing a proper dance track kept us affix.
After dancing our asses off the ladies were ready to retire. We headed out and made it home at a fairly decent hour ( yeah, we’re getting old).
Oh yeah, total SceneSpark, Marquee when the Koreans take if over. Them be some people that know how to party.

Last Nights Party: The Life Ball

Lydia Hearst
Patty Fields
Andre J
Debbie Harry
Lily Cole

Mr. Cummings
So pissed I missed this event. It seriously looked like the shit and Lydia in pasties is so worth a trip to Vienna. The event was jam packed with celebrities and fashion people alike. Thank good for charity. A Boeing 757 was filled with New Yorkers, a second with Londoners for the event that raised millions for the fight against AIDS
Sharon Stone delivered the keynote; Kim Cattrall and Linda Evangelista gave speeches; Debbie Harry and a few Eurovision stars performed; Agent Provocateur sent models down the runway; and countless crazies working insane looks paraded back and forth across the palace grounds. But the real fun was inside the palace’s neo-gothic walls, where thousands of ticket-holding revelers filled three sprawling floors of opulent ballrooms, and raved till sun up. Even the most decadent of Habsburgs never had a night like this.

Last Nights Party: Patricia Fields for Payless
We missed the action, but Merlin from Last Nights Party didn’t. Check out his video featuring a model prepping for the event and partying with Andre J, Patty Fields and a man-chick that desperately needs to shave his pits.
