Last night, Piazza Sempione gathered everyone to preview the fall 2011 collection and uniquely interpret the pieces with a styling competition. Traveling around the room, it was plain to see the inspiration for the line, “Back Home: A Tale of Beauty and Poetry,” came from finding the beauty in something that once was lost. Inspired by an old mansion, this collection takes luxurious pieces and makes them look effortlessly elegant for a fresh and modern feel. Obviously being Piazza Sempione, the quality of tailoring and materials is superior, silhouettes utterly beautiful. Click through to see this gorgeous fall collection and my look from the event.

What do a gun fanny pack, fringed suede pants and a cow skull necklace embellished with crystals have in common? I am obsessed with them in this spread for the March 2011 issue of Vogue Russia. American model Jacquelyn Jablonski shows us what cowgirls are made of, wearing knee-length braids, denim shirts and heavily embellished accessories. Styled by Olga Dunina, pieces from Pamela Love, Blumarine, Ralph Lauren and Stetson were used to create this western fantasy shot by Jason Kibbler. There’s something about western style that always makes me long for summer. Sigh.

Oh dearest Keanu Reeves. You made me laugh in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and confused me in The Matrix. But I had no idea about your affinity for photo shoots with interestingly positioned chairs, leather vests worn with Daisy Dukes and big game fishing nets.

Leather played a huge part in trends for women in 2008. From leggings to cropped biker jackets, leather ruled our daily wardrobes. There seems to be a trickle down effect into the Autumn/Winter Men’s Shows as well. Everyone from Gucci, John Bartlett and Prada, showed that leather was the choice for the upcoming fall season, even down to men’s leather pants. Now, you may think that a man with leather legs is a tad bit questionable. Yet, it is quite sexy for a man to have the confidence to wear his YSL leather pants with pride.
