My leather binge strikes again! Leather leggings are all the rage right now, and leave it up to the designers at Bess to make a pair worth every penny. Bess’ thigh tights are a cotton lycra pant with stretch lambskin leather, thigh high legs. The stretch stitching and seems at the knees make these leggings not only fashionable, but comfortable and resilient!

Ann Demeulemeester has done it again! Combining the world’s two sexiest elements, leather and skin, Demeulemeester’s Spring 2010 collection is a minimalist version of biker-chic. We’ve seen a lot of leather this season, and while I can’t get enough of it, the best part of Demeulemeester’s collection is undoubtedly the birdcage inspired accessories and shoes.

This season, we’ve seen everything from the one legged pant look, courtesy of Bernhard Willhelm, to the multi layered look from Rodarte and tons of leather via Gareth Pugh and many more…what do you think we’ll see on the streets of NY?

Dita Von Teese rocks an all black leather look to the John Galliano for Dior show.

Earlier she tweeted: “Headed to Dior in full blown 50’s domina leather. If Mr. Dior were to design a suit for a dominatrix, this is how it would look.”

Very few designers are able to transverse the limitations of fashions cut and sew to create truly wearable pieces of art, but Attilla Design, an Etsy designer we just discovered might be one in the running. Not only limited to fashion, this designer has engaged in home furnishings and art with an aesthetic which challenges wearability yet leaves those who purchase it with a fulfilled sense of fashion entitlement. Christy Turlington shines in the new Yves Saint Laurent campaign, a series of photos that never fail to make me wish I was a 35 year old women in Paris (so I could maybe rock these looks). Click to Christy posing in a leather jumpsuit, not an easy feat even for an expert supermodel, and the new Yves Saint Laurent “it” shoes.

Dresses by Iona Crawford, this laser cutting (which is easy for designers because leather doesn’t fray) gives the backs of her dresses a dead-tree look, which I have some odd fascination with.  The bottom patterns are by student Kasia Bishop, and show how the laser cutting works.  Look out for this trend, as a lot of designers are catching on.
