Balenciaga Sues Steve Madden

Balenciaga Sues Steve Madden

It’s quite obvious that Steve Madden got little bit copy happy with their knockoff of Balenciaga’s Fall 2007 Lego heels, but they’re not getting away with it that easy! On Tuesday, Balenciaga filed a lawsuit calming Steve Madden had “intentionally copied” their $4175 heels. The Steve Madden knockoffs hit shelves back in 2008 and sold for $99.95, a mere 2% of Balenciaga’s original price.

RANDOM COOL: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Lego Sunglasses

RANDOM COOL: Jean Charles de Castelbajacs Lego Sunglasses

If Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s Mupppet inspired Fall 2009 collection didn’t stir your nostalgia, then his customizable lego sunglasses certainly will! Available in red, white and yellow, these shades are completely “brick-able” and ready for your building pleasure. Me, I’d stick a bunch of those Lego people on the sides and call it a party.

Thanks Dazed Digital!

RANDOM COOL: LEGO S&M

What ever happened to LEGO’s being a kids toy? On that note I’m off to Toys R’ Us to buy this and make millions producing LEGO porn for creepy online weirdos.

Fashionable Lego’s

For Lego’s 30th Anniversary it has released a series of celebrity Lego’s. These creepy replica’s of today’s most famous and infamous celebs will not be released to the public. And maybe that’s a good thing because these things are seriously scary. Enjoy:

Swank Chuck Out Your Chintz Jewelry

Like Dee & Ricky and many others before her, Becky Wignell refashions toys into jewelry. Something about using Lego flowers, instead of just the expected blocks and Legomen, caught my eye.  She has a lot more cute, inexpensive pieces on her Etsy site and her main site: Swank.

These Models Have Just As Many Facial Expressions As Lindsay Lohan

These Models Have Just As Many Facial Expressions As Lindsay Lohan

Opening Ceremony is so lucky to be carrying such an amazing company like Band of Outsiders, because this is one of the coolest displays I have seen in a long time. To recognize the 30 year anniversary of the LEGO man, Scott Sternberg designed these massive LEGO men for the Band of Outsiders display at the Opening Ceremony store in LA. It may be because I was obsessed with LEGOs when I was younger, but I would take of these giant LEGO men before the Fendi Bear Brick
