Spring 2012 is blooming before our very eyes as trends fall in fringe, sprout like flowers and actively kick it into hyperspeed. Designers from New York and London are on a wavelength that transcends oceans, and that frequency is tickling our future wardrobes with trends we love.

A very anticipated show because of last season’s controversy, surrounding Mark’s use of plus size models on the runway, and after reviewing the above images I can honestly say that I am not impressed with this collection. Some of the pieces are great, some are very similar to last seasons, and some are just disappointing. I do love his use of color, but we’ve seen the matching tights in the past, and the hair and makeup were, in my opinion, very lacking. What do you guys think?

Fashionista has just reported that London Fashion Week has changed their mind. Last week, LFW rescinded its pledge to reject Size Zero models from its catwalks after Milan, Paris, and New York refused to do the same.
It’s sad that we have not made progress since all the public deaths due to eating disorders, and that the fashion industry still does not understand the effects of overly skinny models on the runways, or as their spokesmodels. Another year, and more self induced anorexics.
