Nina Cortes is the darling designer of her namesake jewelry line Nina Loren who you may recognize from the Project Runway spin-off Project Accessory. Nina was a force to be reckoned with as she made it all the way to the final two. Nina’s sparkling Swarovski designs caught the eyes of audiences and judges from day one with a gorgeous, wearable necklace crafted from recycled pieces. Needless to say, she won that challenge and continues to gain interest with her elegantly-edgy pieces. We caught up with the accessory guru to get to know her better off-screen, and she is just as sweet and funny as on the show.

Demi Moore sat down with longtime gal pal Amanda de Cadenet for her first interview after splitting with noted douchebag and ex-Twitterer, Ashton Kutcher in February’s Harper’s Bazaar. Moore and de Cadenet’s new show on Lifetime, The Conversation, is all about sisters doing it for themselves and then talking about it. Smelling an opportunity for a little promo-pro-bono, they took to Harper’s to converse on the things women love to converse about: namely body image, eating, relationships and eating again. Turns out even Demi Moore has insecurities that she can’t nip, tuck, lift or hire Rachel Zoe to conceal away.

Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your TV, Project Runway has spawned a secondary series, Project Runway All Stars. While the 10th season of boring, regular PJ Runway starts in June with Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn stepping into their well-worn shoes, PJ Runway All Stars debuts January 5 with new but fashionably familiar faces.

Lifetime’s New ’24 Hour Catwalk’ is Exactly What it Seems

Designers. Start your collections. Now. I’ll be back in exactly 24 hours, and it had better be good and done. That, my dear, is the premise of Lifetime‘s newest competitive fashion show, 24 Hour Catwalk, hosted by our dear Alexa Chung. In each episode, four designers will create a garment, and two will be eliminated. The two remaining designers will then each create a three-piece collection with the aid of professional and mouthy sewers. At the end of those 24 hours, they present to the judges: design star and collab-addict Cynthia Rowley, PR guru James LaForce (sans Stevens) and the Very Classy fashion editor Derek Blasberg. - After five lucrative, statement-shouldered years, Balmain and creative director Christophe Decarnin are getting a divorce. What will happen to the sequined jackets?! No one ever thinks about the sequined jackets! Decarnin was notoriously absent from the Fall 2011 show in Paris under speculation of a mental break, but sources say the designer and Balmain’s chairman/CEO Alain Hivelin just didn’t see eye to eye. TV RECAP: Project Runway Episode 7

As episode 7 of Project Runway kicked off last night, it was on our way to the hardware store! Designers were given a small budget to make pieces out of pretty difficult materials. After a night of molding copper and tying washers it was clear that this one was going to be a close call. Emilio even had to make a bikini due to the lack of materials he got with his budget! But at the end of the day it was Jay who took the prize with his leather looking pants, (which were actually garbage bags!), and Jesse was sent back home.

FIRST LOOK: Project Runway Season Six & Models of the Runway

It appears to me that Project Runway’s new home at Lifetime may be the best move possible for the show! After a severely disappointing fifth season on the Bravo network, the season six preview definitely looks entertaining! And if stolen fabric and emotional designers didn’t stir enough drama for you, Lifetime’s addition to Project Runway, Models of the Runway, looks like a cattier, more realistic version of America’s Next Top Model. 

The new season starts on August 20th at 10PM Eastern Standard Time on Lifetime. One month, folks!
