- Frida Gustavsson is GORGEOUS on Paolo Roversi‘s cover of Vogue Italia‘s Couture Supplement, giving us a little flapper chic and some serious face. [Fashion Gone Rogue]

- Looks like somebody finally made a comeback. Jennifer Lopez has been named by People as the “World’s Most Beautiful Woman,” landing the cover of their annual “Beautiful People” issue. After years of subpar rom-coms and so-so albums, La Lopez has struck gold, not only as an American Idol judge (does anyone still watch that crap?) but as a spokesperson for anything that will have her. From Gucci to Venus Razors, J. Lo is shoving herself down our collective throats, and I couldn’t be happier gagging on her. [People]

- And a Happy Belated Birthday to our favorite creative director and cat lady, Grace Coddington, who turned 70 years young yesterday!

The clothes are classic Tom Ford: a glittery mix of sophisticated sex appeal and high-voltage glamor. But who can look at the clothes when the women modeling them are just as stunning?

Julianne Moore, Natalia Vodianova, Carolyn Murphy, Lauren Hutton, Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, Daphne Guinness, Rinko Kikuchi, Lakshmi Menon, Daria Werbowy, Rita Wilson, Stella Tennant, Lou Doillon, Amber Valletta, Liya Kebede, Du Juan, Anja Rubik, Abby Lee Kershaw, Edita Vilkeviciute, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen, Freja Beha Erichsen, Julia Reston-Roitfeld, Jac Jagaciak, and the Queen of World, Beyoncé all stomped and vamped their way down the runway, flanked by the Anna Wintours of the world to the tune of fellow hoofer Karen Elson‘s “Pretty Babies.”

Needless to say, it requires multiple viewings.

Wen‘s heavily layered looks came together with pieces from John Galliano, Rodarte and Missoni, to name a few.

Ethereal goddess Liu Wen uses all 35 lbs of her lithe frame to give this spread in Chinese Vogue.  It’s like she’s in the middle of a bewildering hurricane, when in reality, a light breeze probably swept through the set.

Constance Jablonski and Liu Wen were just announced as the new faces of Estée Lauder, and Modelinia has the first campaign shot to preview. Shot by Craig McDean, it features Constance showing off Tom Pecheux’s Pure Color Night collection.

Chinese model Liu Wen covers another L’Officiel Magazine cover (she recently covered L’Officiel Singapore). Liu is signed with Marilyn, Select and d’management.

Don’t know how newsworthy it is when a company finally decides to embrace diversity after decades of ignoring a race, but Estee Lauder has just signed French model Constance Jablonski and Chinese model Liu Wen to join their roster of global beauties.

They will be joining Hilary Rhoda, Carolyn Murphy, Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow – in a debut  global advertising campaigns beginning June 2010.

There are so many things I love about this photograph, and model Liu Wen. Leopard leggings bring excitement into this look, and the purple touch on the cuffs of her blazer are awesome!  My favorite part, though, would have to be her hair, styled to give the half shaved look that I’m so into. Her makeup is flawless, too!

Finally a break from celebrity cover girls, the June 2009 issues include an impressive list of cover models, such as Lily Donaldson, Liu Wen, Liz Hurley, Anna Vyalitsyna, and Natalia Vodianova.

Doutzen Kroes made the cover of Vogue España, shot by Alex Cayley, and Gisele Bundchen and Sasha Pivovarova appeared on Australia and Russia Harper’s Bazaar.  Bummer: The Bundchen cover is a copy of U.S. Harper’s Bazaar April ’09

For Vogue China Liu Wen takes on printed, ornamented and truly daring fashions with help from Josh Olins. The fanciful headwraps remind us of Liu’s turn in Pop but the moody, high contrast feel of this edit bears a charm all its own.

LINKAGE: Models

Daniel Jackson transformed Liu Wen into a work of art for this spread in the February issue of Vogue China. The garments look fabulous on Wen; she is the perfect canvas for couture. The dress with all the crazy circles is my favorite, but the black and white hat is a necessary part of my life. Only one week until my birthday Indies!! Hint, hint.
