Leather is like the universal language of love. What is better to both give and receive than a jacket, gloves, handbag or wallet made with a soft and buttery hyde? As the new year calls for new fashion obsessions, this material has been taking another garment by storm. Joining the ranks of popular leather goods is the blouse and, like it or not, we’ve been seeing it everywhere. When done well, it looks chic and surprisingly quite delicate. After seeing these eight leather blouses we want hanging in our closets, tell us, do you love or loathe the trend?

Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at eight incredible manicurists and their over-the-top art in a new feature called Nailed It. Today’s featured manicurist is Jenna Hipp, a green celebrity nail stylist who works with all the big names in Hollywood from Michelle Williams to Kate Bosworth. Her understated, sophisticated nail art never contains harsh or harmful ingredients and has been featured on more magazine covers than we can count. Gisele stars in the new Loewe campaign, normally a huge fan of her posing skills these ads are slightly disappointing. The awkward posing makes them look like out-takes to me, I guess her ‘pregnant glow’ isn’t helping her out here.

Loewe: Pre-Fall 2009 Collection

The amazing men’s blog KidGQ introduced me to the Loewe Pre-Fall 2009 collection, and I’m glad he did. The collection features classy formal wear, and a great mix of blazers and overcoats. The looks are all completed with amazing accessories and shoes as well. I can’t give you a real outlook on release date due to the fact that I’m not too sure what “Pre-Fall” means, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

The S/S 09 ad campaign for Loewe is so fucking awesome I can barely stand it. As if the Spanish fashion house isn’t awesome enough, Steven Klein came in and took things to another level. No woman has ever looked so stylish lounging by the pool than Amber Valletta does in this set of photos. All of the garments, particularly the coats, look absolutely amazing. And the shot where model Garrett Neff is diving into the water over Valletta’s lounge chair with those gorgeous mountains in the background? Priceless. Summer, where the fuck are you?
