Today I set sail for paradise – going on a cruise to the Caribbean with la familia. Oh, Indies, how I’ll miss you so while I am away! You know, I’m no good at so-longs or farewells or see you laters, so I’ll let Jeremy Scott‘s new collaboration with Longchamp say it best.

As if she wasn’t already the answer to taking on the role as the world’s best supermodel, checking off everything with killer style and life perks like owning exclusive lines at places like Topshop and Longchamp- we can thankfully now wear Kate Moss on our necks, as she takes on designing a jewelry line for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy which is owned by French jewelry label, Fred Joaillier.

Inspired by a number of Kate’s tattoos, the collection features a diamond anchor necklace along with 22 other cute, kitschy pieces including hearts, crescent moons, and stars made from gold and precious stones. The line launches October 1st and will be sold exclusively in France, on Fred’s e-boutique and at the in store Fred shop at Harrod’s.

This is certainly no surprise, as classic Leopard and Cheetah prints have long been popular fall and winter staples. The thing to avoid is “leopard overload,” as too much appears gaudy.

Kate elaborates on the first collection and her inspirations (loosely translated from French):
“The emerald green pochette, whose color I love, I wanted to be very simple, based on the shape of an envelope. I would wear it with all black or all navy. Because I love to wear dove grey, I wanted a bag in that color to go with my grey jeans. The zebra was inspired by an old pony printed valise from the ’70s that my boyfriend [Jamie Hince] brought back from San Francisco, very dry, very trashed, without any glamour, and which I loved. As for the bags in cognac leather, it’s a color and a very supple leather that we found in equestrian accessories stores, and we unfortunately can no longer find.”
The collection won’t hit stores till Feb. 11. ?

WWD is reporting that Kate Moss will be designing for Longchamp. The model has appeared in the four seasons of Longchamp ads so it makes sense that they finally make her work for her money by putting her name on some overpriced handbags.

We saw the credit card bag, we saw the floral print, well this time around Jeremy Scott chose bones (which definitely has something to do with his Flintstones inspired runway show) for his collaboration with Longchamp. The bag is available at colette, and I must admit I would totally rock this as a weekender.

While I could do without another tote with imaginative text on it, this bag is a step up from the canvas grocery carriers you have lying under your sink, so my suggestion… UPGRADE!!!
