Heidi Klum will be portrayed by Angela Lindvall. The role of Nina Garcia will be played by Marchesa‘s Georgina Chapman. Joanna Coles, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire will star as mentor-in residence Tim Gunn. And returning to the fashion reality competition show stage is Isaac Mizrahi as Michael Kors. Guest judges will include Diane von Furstenberg, Miranda Kerr, Miss Piggy, Pharrell Williams, Nanette Lepore, Rachel Roy, Catherine Malandrino, and Mark Badgley and James Mischka.

The All-Stars in question are past Runway contestants who weren’t quite up to snuff, such as Austin Scarlett, Sweet P, Kara Janx and that much-reviled whiny copycat, Kenley Collins. Personally, I stopped watching Project Runway as soon as it hopped from Bravo to Lifetime,  deciding along the way that a season in L.A. was a good idea, but this new spin-off series could bring some much-needed fresh air into the franchise.

The All-Stars will compete for a handsome set of prizes, the most lucrative in Runway history: “an exclusive designer boutique in select Neiman Marcus stores and on neimanmarcus.com; $100,000 in technology and office space to help expand their business from HP and Intel; $100,000 cash from L’Oréal Paris; a feature spread in Marie Claire, for which he or she will serve as a guest editor for one year, and a sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International.” Well, at least they made returning to the scene of one’s former and very public embarrassment suitably enticing.

Will you watch Project Runway All-Stars when it premieres January 5 on Lifetime, television for women unemployed gay men? [WWD]

- Naomi Campbell is digging her coke spoon into a big ole pile of Studio 54 nostalgia with her just-announced denim line with 70s style staple, Fiorucci. [Styleite]

- Urban Outfitters‘ board is not only racist, but also in denial about it. Other objects of their incredulity: evolution, the Holocaust, homosexuality and quality fabrics. [The Cut]

- Supermodel Liya Kebede will be giving face for L’Oreal, her first gig as a major brand ambassador. [Fashionista]

- A teaser of Nicola Formichetti‘s homoerotic film for Mugler Mens debuted today and I’m already on board. [Hint]

- The disgruntled and dismissed Marc Jacobs employee who’s suing his former employers over the alleged sexually-charged atmosphere, Patrice Lataillade, is being sued by Marc for more or less embezzling money and inflating the company’s profits. Both sides says the other is lying/deflecting/hamming it up but no one’s paying attention to poor Helena Bonham Carter who apparently lost her shit while all of this was going on. [Styleite]

What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?

The theatre. I would go every day if I could! Sometimes I will see four shows a week if I can fit it in. A great night for me is to meet my nearest and dearest, have a great bottle of wine (or three), a terrific dinner and then hit a show. Afterwards, maybe a piano bar in the Village or a club if it’s a weekend.

But I am one of those artsy people. I love museums, cabaret and fashion. I am a wine enthusiast. I write a lot, and I am one of those people that crazy stuff always seems to be happening to. Things that people would never believe unless they were there to witness it for themselves. I try to keep track of those events. Someday, it’ll make a great book.

What do you do to find calm during crazy-filled fashion days?

I used to smoke. But those days are behind me. Ah, those good old smoke-filled days.  Hm…drink? Can I say that? A nice drink after work takes the edge off.

Actually, I find calm in having a sense of humor about it all. I work with a lot of great, talented and fun people! I rely on them to make me laugh, and I try to be there for them when they need a chuckle. Yes, there is a lot of stress – but staying positive and keeping those around you in a good mood alleviates a lot of unnecessary anxiety.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Reruns of Dawson’s Creek. I’m kidding. Guilty pleasure…one? But there are so many to choose from! Okay, my biggest guilty pleasure is television. I have always loved TV. My mother said when I was a child she had to schedule my feedings around reruns of I Love Lucy because it was the only thing that kept me quiet and calm. And nothing has changed. My guilty pleasure is to plop down on the couch and zone out to my favorite trashy mindless shows.

What was your last indulgence?

That’s a hard one because I kind of indulge myself daily. Whether it’s a great dinner with my friends, the theatre, some great wine or even watching my TV on the big screen – they are all indulgences to me. But, I would have to say my most recent big indulgence was going to Tulum with my closest friends.

We got a hut on the beach, laid out all day and read. Then at night, scrabble oceanside as the sun set. Super relaxing with great people. Tulum is an amazing place to just get away and escape the hustle-bustle. It’s just beach and jungle and very limited electricity.

What are you doing this weekend?

Friday I am having dinner at Kenmare with some terrific people I used to work with at L’Oreal, followed by dancing. Sure to be a night of laughs and strolling down memory lane. Then sadly, I think the rest of the weekend I will be working on castings.

I have a campaign shooting for Redken, and Guido Palau is doing the hair! Like I said, I work with some talented people. Anyway, I still have many models to find. I honestly wish I could tell you that I will be laying poolside at The Delano or The Raleigh in Miami, drinking margaritas and reading my Kindle (like I have been known to do). But alas, looks like work. (Cue the violins, tear falls.)

Cool As Ice [1991] Starring Naomi Campbell as “Singer at First Club

Tagline: “When a girl has a heart of stone, there’s only one way to melt it. Just add Ice.” [Seriously.]

Before 8 Mile, there was another biopic about a white rapper trying to make his way out of…the ghetto (?). And lucky us, not only were we treated to Naomi’s acting, but her vocal chops as well on the film’s classic composition…wait for it…“Cool as Ice”. Robert Van Winkle’s music and film career fizzled shortly after this cinematic exercise in ego-stroking though Naomi has continued to make the occasional cameo when not dodging a subpoena.

Fair Game [1995] Starring Cindy Crawford as Kate McQuean

Tagline: “He’s a cop on the edge. She’s a woman with a dangerous secret. And now they’re both…

Cindy stars as a civil law attorney who seeks the aid of the forgotten Baldwin — poor  Billy – a cop who vows to protect her from some renegade KGB team out to exterminate her. The film proved a huge hit…at the 1996 Razzie Awards where it was nominated for Worst Actress, Worst New Star (both honors for Cindy) and Worst Screen Couple. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) that year Showgirls swept nearly every category. Liz Berkley has never been the same.

Conan the Destroyer [1984] Starring Grace Jones as Zula

Tagline: “The most powerful legend of all is back in a new adventure.”

A childhood favorite of  mine…before I knew that my fondness for Arnold Schwarzenegger in a fur loincloth was anything out of the ordinary, the sequel to Conan the Barbarian features the always terrifying Grace Jones as a scantily clad warrior princess. Apparently Grace’s enthusiasm was a little too much for poor ole muscle-bound Arnold, who complained Jones was “too tough” during filming. Grow a pair, Schwarzenegger…or just borrow Grace’s.

The Fifth Element [1997] Starring Milla Jovovich as Leeloo

Tagline: “There is no future without it.”

Jovovich has starred in over 30 films — half of them from the Resident Evil franchise — but her best role to date is still in Luc Besson‘s modern sci-fi classic. As the titular element, Milla yells and grunts and generally kicks ass throughout the entire film and she hasn’t laid down her action hero mantle since. Although the most acting she’s done since then has taken place in L’Oreal commercials.

Taxi [2004] Starring Gisele as Vanessa

Tagline: “Take a Ride on the Wild Side.”

Hmm, when your script requires a quartet of sexy Brazilian bank robbers, why not enlist the world’s foremost sexy Brazilian? Gisele tackled the challenging role of the gang’s “cold” and “calculating” leader in her film debut, but with only one other film under her tiny, couture belt (she has a cameo in Devil Wears Prada), it doesn’t look like she’ll be rendered in celluloid any time soon.

The company producing the pilot, Entertainment One hopes the show will demonstrate “how a news story sparked a new life for him and his family.”

The show will follow Dodson as he uses” the money he is making from his hit song on iTunes and his best-selling Halloween costume to make a fresh start for the Dodson clan on the West Coast.”

Halloween costume? You mean a bandana and a wife beater? People will literally buy anything. And on that note, someone needs to give this girl a L’Oreal contract because that hair is at werq.

At first her blog was called “la méchante” (the mean girl) but she switched to Eleonore Bridge because she’s clearly adorable.

How would you describe your style?

I love very feminine outfits, sometimes a bit childish. It’s because I consider fashion a game, I love playing with my wardrobe. I also have a lot of vintage things and accessorizes from my grandmother.  I also try to sometimes dress retro.

What sets you apart from the other style bloggers?

I don’t know… Maybe by not following all the trends, I don’t care if one day I’m wrong and have a “fashion faux pas” as we say in French, but who cares? It won’t kill me, I’d rather make mistakes than wear boring outfits.

I also take really good care of my pictures, I try to find beautiful places in Paris or in houses and apartments so it’s not just about the clothes: the place is really important.

How has your life changed since starting the blog?

I found my 2 lasts jobs through my blog and left my first career at L’Oréal where I was an interior architect. I now work a lot more but it’s great. I’m also learning photography for 2 years through my blog and I love it. I met a lot of really nice people from all over the world thanks to my blog.

Who are your Favorite designers?

Viktor & Rolf for their cartoon universe and Kenzo for the prints, and of course romantic and funny French designers like Sonia Rykiel, and Chloé.

Where do you like to shop in NYC?

When I went there I looooved Brooklyn and all the shops around Bedford (Williamsburg). The vintage stores are amazing there.

What do you like the most about NYC?
For fashion, I love being able to wear whatever I want, a mini skirt for example or a giant bow: nobody will care. In Paris, you would be like a clown and people would stare at you, fashion is not really fun in Paris, it’s really too serious. I love how New Yorkers dress up when they’re going out!

And of course, in New York I’m obsessed with the food, milk shakes and breakfasts and I really envy New Yorkers for their amazing Central Park!

What is your favorite item in your closet?

My leather jacket from Yves St Laurent, I bought it in a second hand store in Paris, it’s a unique piece from a fashion show. It’s perfect and has a story: the number of the outfit and name of the model.

Tell us about your love for Alice in Wonderland?

I loved the Disney cartoon and the strange world Alice discovers. It used to scare me when I was a little girl, but we all love fear! But this year Alice became a product and it’s just a shame…

What do you do for living (to make money)?

A lot of things, I used to be a furniture designer and interior architect but now I’m a web consultant, I write and take pictures for many websites, my job doesn’t have a name.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

We heard you have a wedding in the works, tell us about that?

You have five hours? No sincerely I can’t tell you about my wedding, it will be too long. I just want to say that I want people to have fun, that I love my fiancé more than people can imagine (we’re a 10 year old couple).

How will your blog change once you are married?

It won’t change, there will only be my wedding pictures:)

You often blog about other things besides fashion, what else fascinates you?

Photography, beautiful images. I can spend hours looking at beautiful pictures.

If you had one wish, what would it be?

Be happy, have fun and in good health for all my life!

Looking to get supermodel hair? Louise O’Connor owner of OC61 salon give us four tips for getting a runway ready look.

On Tuesday, February 23rd Fashion Indie teamed up with ARC NY and the CFDA to host a private signing of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The event was hosted at Rothmans Union Square and featured models Jessica White, Julie Henderson and Irina Shayk. Hair was provided by OC61 Salon and styled by Mylo Carrion and Leya Sifflet (above beautifying Jessica White’s locks).

Today we spoke with OC61 Salon owner Louise O’Connor who gave us some tips on how to get supermodel hair. She explained that ‘super model hair’ means that the locks are soft and curly, but not too overdone.

1. Start with a color safe shampoo and conditioner, since most models do color their hair, like Loreal Professional Expert Vitamino Color Shampoo.

2. Apply, Barex ReDefine Cream (tames frizz and locks out humidity) to damp locks and blowdry as usual.

3. Take sections of hair and curl using an Ionic Curling Iron (HE-P3 is a good one) to help seal in the moisture and provide minimal damage while curling the hair.

4. Work in a shine serum (try L’Oreal Texture Expert Shine Perfection: Anti-frizz shine serum) with fingers and loosen up the curls.

5. Spray with favorite hair spray and voila, you’re now a supermodel!

Maison Martin Margiela has launched their debut fragrance, Untitled.* The new scent was created under the auspices of L’Oreal. It is expected to debut at Colette in Paris next week, elsewhere in March.

3. Fred Butler: New kid on the block Fred began life as a set designer and prop maker before packing a style punch with her first jewellery collection of bold, bright and sculptural designs for autumn/winter 2009. Since then she has presented workshops at London’s Design Museum, guest lectured at the London College of Fashion and collaborated with Asos.com on their limited edition ‘Hit’ line.

Has an eye for: Creating “wearable sculpture,” by using graphic shapes, clashing colours and tactile forms.

Is inspired by: The unpredictable in the everyday.

4. Mark Fast: Since the success of the 28 year old Canadian’s Central St Martins graduate collection in 2007 (which was quickly snapped up by Browns Focus) the young designer has gone from strength to strength. His autumn/winter 2009 show featured a bold collection of black knitted body-con dresses, embellished with fringing and dramatic cut-out panels.

Has an eye for: Exquisite pieces that are contoured to the body.

Is inspired by: Finding innovative ways with knitwear.

5. Eun Jeong: 2008′s Fashion Fringe winner, Eun Jeong leapt on the scene with a collection made entirely from white cotton lace. The Korean designer has since been working hard to develop her own label ‘1st element by hong eun jeong’.

Has an eye for: Neat pleats and effortless tailoring.

Is inspired by: Uniqueness in others.

6. Emilio de la Morena: Having trained as a sculptor in his native Spain before sharpening his fashion skills at Central St Martins in 2002, de la Morena’s designs are inspired by structural shapes and traditional Spanish artisan techniques.

Is inspired by: The relationship between organic shapes and defined silhouettes.

7. Josh Goot: His sleek and monochromatic autumn/winter 2009 collection had London based Goot dubbed the new king of modernism, for his simple yet sophisticated use of black and white on shifts and neatly tailored suits.

Has an eye for: Colour blocking and clean lines.

Is inspired by: Human anatomy and abstract forms for spring/summer 2009.

8. Mary Katrantzou: Since her fun graphic print collection for autumn/winter 2009, that featured dresses emblazoned with images of perfume bottles, we have not been able to shake the feeling that Katrantzou is going places. Having worked under fellow Greek, Sophia Kokosalaki and freelanced for Bill Blass, the young print designer also makes jewellery to complement her collections.

Has an eye for: Digital prints and bold, industrial jewellery.

Is inspired by: Antique perfume bottles and 18th century portraits for spring/summer 2010.

9: Maria Francesca Pepe: With style insiders dipping into Pepe’s jewellery box for her hand-crafted Italian pieces to adorn their fashion pages – including Harper’s Bazaar – it is little wonder the designer already has a loyal following. You might have seen her designs embellishing the shows of Roksanda Illincic (S/S09 and A/W09), Emilio De La Morena (A/W09) and Louise Grey (A/W09), for which she designed a shoe collection.

Has an eye for: Chunky tubular necklaces made using old, handcrafted Italian techniques.

Is inspired by: Pieces that appeal to all tastes and ages.

10. Veryta: Designer and Fashion illustrator Tanya Ling brings her talents to the role of Creative Director of not-for-profit label Veryta, which appears for the first time this season. Launched with the backing of Yves Saint Laurent’s Stefano Pilati and Filippo Binaghi of Italian Silk manufacturer, Lorma, 10 percent of sales from the collection will go direct to children’s charities in India.

A new study, suspiciously led by a research department of L’Oreal, has found that applying makeup might contribute to better balance and coordination.

The survey of 100 women aged 65-85 revealed that those who applied even a little makeup in the morning were steadier on their feet and had better posture.
