Volkova’s concentration in menswear is apparent in her 2009 womenswear collection as many of the pieces stray away from the body-conscious silhouettes and embrace a boxy, masculine freedom. Embellished with grommets, metal rings, leather straps, ruffles and buckles, Volkova’s designs exude a tough-girl, edgy vibe, not for the faint of heart. Now, wish me luck getting my hand on that black, leather-strapped dress!
