Style icon Jane Birkin is taking on a new role this fashion week, designer. This season she’ll be leaving the sidelines of fashion to take on the runway with a collection with New York knitwear giants Lutz + Patmos.

The French actress, dancer and singer better known for being the inspiration of the classic Hermes handbag, will release her collection in only a few weeks, which we’re hoping goes well with her daughter’s, Lou Doillon, Lee Cooper denim collection. If the tops match the bottoms, we might actually have a really great family fashion outfit to rock on the streets.

Lou Doillon comes from great fashion lineage. She is the daughter of fashion icon Jane Birkin, and half-sister to another fashion icon Charlotte Gainsbourg. She has an odd beauty, one that is distinctly French, one that us Americans covet. She is a model, actress, singer, and fashion designer-and unlike most, she can actually do all of these jobs well
