Who could forget Louis Vuitton‘s iconic 2002 collaboration with Takashi Murakami, whose rainbow rendition of the classic LV monogram motif netted some $350 million in sales for the luxury leather label? For its next knockout collabo, Vuitton is revisiting the Land of the Rising Sun with artist and dot enthusiast Yayoi Kusama.

There’s a new shopping site on the block and its name is HipSwap. HipSwap is a super simple and safe way to buy & sell things based on your current location. Think Craig’s List meets eBay meets cute, stylish design. The Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s annual Costume Institute Gala is tirelessly referred to as the Oscars of fashion and it certainly ranks as the industry’s glitziest and most glamorous night. But unlike the Oscars red carpet, where actresses willfully play it safe for fear of a career-defining performance on the worst dressed list, at the Met Gala the balls are to the haute couture wall. This is Fashion with a capital effin’ F. Sometimes the results are truly stunning and other times they’re…how can I put this gently…god-awful. I know what the cage bag brings. It brings your cutest Louis Vuitton animal-shaped wallets. Or at least an acute sense of beautiful minimalism when it comes to packing your purse. This crossbody cage by sisters Phoebe and Annette Stephens, the designers behind Anndra Neen, was melded in NYC to carry an irreverent air of transparency. Let ‘em know that what’s on the inside is as beautiful as the out.
