Has anyone noticed that Kanye has been rocking a ton of denim jackets lately? Or maybe it’s the same one. I though the cardinal rule of wearing a denim jacket was that you could NOT wear it with jeans? Well, what do I know, I’m merely a blogger and he designs for Louis Vuitton.

Performing his hit song ‘Heartless’ on American Idol, Kanye rocks the denim jacket, and even has an extra t-shirt in his back pocket in case he needs to change.

“The Perfect Mess,” I dub thee the greatest editorial to ever hit the printing press! Lula Mag, issue #8, has drawings of our famous fashion friends wearing top labels like Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and Lanvin! Though drawn garments aren’t nearly as detailed as a photograph, I am very intrigued by the raw sketches, leaving a bit of ambiguity for the readers. I absolutely love the concept of sketched editorials, but could spreads like this instigate others to sketch as well? If so, what would all the print models do?! If this is the new trend, it looks like Russia is getting all of their pretty girls back!

Kanye West and his girlfriend Amber Rose were front row at many shows during Paris Fashion Week, including Hussein Chalayan, Sonia Rykiel, and Givenchy.

Amber Rose wore one of my fave dresses from the Alexander Wang Spring 09 show, which she accessorized with Louis Vuitton heals and bag (also straight off the Spring 09 runway).

‘The risky dress is completely sheer, with a few strategically placed black embossed swirl coils. Another feature is that the mini dress has cut-out thumbs at the sleeves.’

According to Red Carpet Fashion only 2 other girls wore this dress,  Erin Wasson, and Sarah Harding and it’s available at Barney’s for $995.

I absolutely adore this look from the Louis Vuitton Spring 09 runway. One outfit styled two different ways for two different magazine covers is quite interesting. Julia Dunstall for the Febuary 09 issue of L’Occiciel is wearing the more understated version; solely the outfit sans accessories. Simple makeup and hair prove this look can stand on its own. Anna Selezneva for the Febuary 09 issue of Vogue Nippon looks like she walked right off the runway. Multiple necklaces and heavy bangles accessorize the look without making it seem cluttered. Damn I need this outfit!

I was about ready to create a blog dedicated solely to Kate Hudson’s fashion mishaps at all her Bride Wars appearances.

But she finally got it right in Paris on Monday, in a black Louis Vuitton minidress.  The fit is flattering, and the puffy sleeves contrast well with the short length and sheer tights.

The hair is a little too voluminous for my taste, and I’m still not a huge fan of Hudson’s film career, but maybe now I can get some sleep, and a day off from Kate-bashing.

Mr. Marc Jacobs and his partner in crime Lorenzo Martone arrived in style to the Cinema Society screening of Defiance last night. Both were sporting heavy fur and scruffy facial hair, but I think in a somewhat shocking twist (seeing as though Marc is a world renowned designer) Lorenzo looks a bit better than Marc! I don’t think that Lorenzo necessarily nailed his look, I think there are just a few misques on Mr. Jacobs part that resulted in the crown going to his significant other. 

1.) Plain black tee: Not hating on the tee choice, just need something to spice up the black.

2.) Shorter skirt: A bit more color from those LV Sprouse leggings would have been nice.

3.) Switch jackets: I think Lorenzo’s jacket would have looked better on you Mr. Marc.

I have to admit, as much as I have been turned off by the Kanye lately–the egomaniacal rants, aggressive temper tantrums and lame auto-tune album finally killed it for me–I’m really impressed with his latest efforts for Louis Vuitton. The sneaker/boat shoe hybrid, one of the six designs he’s created while “interning” for the fashion house, is a palatable, understated representation of casual sophistication. I hope to see this ironically humble quality translated into future designs since it’s becoming clear that Mr. West may be on his way to a legitimate fashion career.

Chloe Sevigny can do no wrong. I love what she’s done with this look from the spring 09 Louis Vuitton runway. The matching bra is awesome and so much better than sporting a bare chest in public. The shoes, bag and cuff complete her look in the best of ways. She totally rocks this outfit better than the model.
