Entitled “Through the looking glass” and made to showcase sunglasses, this editorial for Lula magazine resorted to illustrator Jo Ratcliffe’s work to embelish various designer items.

Proving that sunglasses can be very fun and chic, model Sarah Stevens steps into the spotlight for Lula Mag’s Issue #8 titled “Spectacular”and photographed by Blossom Berkofsky.

Lula magazine is one of the best mag’s out there right now. Yes, better than American Vogue and well worth the $15 price tag. It was started by stylist Leith Clark in 2006 and cultivates a ‘wood-nymph, lo-fi, soft focus aesthetic. They produce two issues a year. And for their 7th issue they are celebrating with two covers.

Another current magazine well worth the $15 dollar price tag is Purple Magazine. Created by Oliver Zahm, the magazine features everybody who is cool in fashion. Frequent contributers include Terry Richardson, Richard Prince, and Mario Sorrenti. There’s one thing you can always expect from Purple Magazine and that is nudity. Almost every cover features somebody naked. And for this cover it’s photographer and one-time model Mario Sorrenti, with his man bits being covered by ex-girlfriend Kate Moss.
