Posing Down Electric Hue Avenue for Madame Figaro Greece

This spread is so cheerful and brilliant, it’s borderline depressing on an overcast New York day like this one. But photographer Benjamin Kaufmann did such a spectacular job of capturing the warmth of the clothing and accessories worn by Kasia Wrobel for Madame Figaro Greece, you can almost feel it through the screen. Leather fringe, red sequins and a life-size, gold bird bangle all have places in the eccentric “Show Stoppers” spread, styled by Alton Hetariki. But color is the main attraction, with combinations that would clash under less strategically placed circumstances. Gorgeous and entertaining, this spread is certainly a site for sore city eyes.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is set to guest-edit Madame Figaro, a weekly magazine, where she wrote of her resentment for blogs and bloggers.

“I despise [rumors] that stem from a blog and that are written by people calling themselves Mickey or Superman. I also despise so-called journalists who use blogs as a credible source of information.”

That’s a mouthful coming from a woman who’s only famous for being married to France’s goof of a president, a few nudie pics and being a one-hit-wonder.

La Vie En Rose may have gotten this french actress an Oscar, but it didn’t get her the type of attention in the US that she commands in France. Maybe this spread in Madame Figaro mag will.

With two movies primed to make her even bigger in America, this might be Marion Cotillard’s year to take on the likes of Bradgelina and the rest of the Hollywood hills.
