I’m not going to lie, this whole Fashion Week 2011 Spring excitement got me  some what confused when I realized it’s about to be on the chilly side in the next couple of weeks… and if you love the thrill of waiting to the last minute for seasonal shopping like myself, then this little seductive boot preview will help… or at least inspire just a bit. As for myself, I’m definitely leaning towards studs and wedges, talk about beyond stoked.

I first saw these flat espadrilles on Marissa and was pleasantly surprised to hear she bought hers at Target! A few weeks later I saw them in Madewell and fell in love all over again. Blue and white stripes have become a favorite of mine this summer and I can picture myself wearing these with bermuda shorts and racerback tanks on lazy weekend days. Normally $48 wouldn’t seem too pricey for a pair of shoes, but after knowing the Target pair cost $16.99 I couldn’t help being partial to the cheaper pair. What do you think of flat espadrilles? Which pair would you prefer?

Vogue is reporting that Alexa Chung has just signed contracts to design a collection for J.Crew’s Madewell. The first pieces from the collection will be available this September, and will be sold under the label Alexa Chung for Madewell.

Madewell, the store for J. Crew-lovin’ teens, has released some looks for Spring 2009.

They’re pretty, but nothing too earth-shattering. It’s mostly staple-oriented, basics like distressed jeans, shrunken blazers.  They work in some trends with a leather jacket and lots of fringe.
